A PERFECT LANDING

The annual Multipule Sclarosis charity scramble at the Salinas Rodeo grounds, 1975. Salinas was much bigger than most of the tracks we rode during the year. Over half a mile around. Very fast. And sandy instead of clay like the other tracks. You would slide forever at the end of the straight-a-way. This picture was taken about 10 seconds before I crashed in the 180 degree left-hander that led onto the straight. Busted the hell out of my left hand and ended my season that year.
