This is Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in downtown San Jose, California. It was built in the late 1800's and refurbished in 1994. The dome was originally gold leafed but replicating it in that fashion proved too expensive during the renovation. It is now painted a dark copper color. The shadowed building in the foreground currently houses the San Jose Museum of Art. It was built around 1850 and was once an annex of the original California state capitol building which stood next door.
