---[ JOE BOB BRIGGS ]---

Current host of Monstervision. This is the only man on TV that can get me to laugh for the sake of laughing becasue what he's saying is really funny, seriously. An extremely gifted writer and film critic with a knack for relating films to what us everday folk might look for in a film. Reading his stuff is a pure pleasure, you eat it up, it's so good. Many women (and men for that matter) consider him to be a sexist pig. Which he is, and it is this absolute disdain for being politically correct that makes him so endearing. Joe Bob (real name John Bloom) defends his views and tries to make people understand that he's not the monster he sometimes appears to be. This guy, to me, is the most normal person on TV. He's not trying to cater to anyone, he's doing his own thing on his TNT show and when he has guests on his show, manages to show respect for them because the film industry (the drive-in to be specific) means so much to him. You get the feeling he's putting on an act every week but I'll be damned if I can ever really look at him and say, "He's really bullshitting me this time"! He's also already managed to appear in some films including the the recent film FACE/OFF and Martin Scorcese's CASINO. JC could cast him as a comedic sidekick or as the main star in one of his films, he'd work beautifully either way.

So do you think Joe Bob Briggs is a good choice? Do you agree or disagree with me? Let me know what you think. If you want to see a particular person appear in a John Carpenter film let me know who it is and I'll start up another page dedicated to actors that viewers of this site want to see in a JC film.
