Hey, thanks for coming to visit our music page. The Winstons is a self-contained band based out of Washington, D.C., and performs the classic recording "Color Him Father" all over the country. Their are no original members from the 1969 Winstons in the band. The Winstons has performed at The World Famous Apollo Theatre in New York City, Symphony Hall in Newark, New Jersey, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Ca., Constitution Hall and Blues Alley in Washington,D.C., The Lyric Opera House, and The Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore, Maryland and more.
The band was formed by Joe Phillips, former music director/guitarist for The Stylistics, The Delfonics, Eddie Holman, and others.
No matter if it's rhythm & blues, blues, southern soul, beach music, or Motown, you will be truly entertained by The Winstons and their orchestra.
The Winstons recording of(The New) Electric Slide, has been broadcast all over the world on The Bernie Mac Show.
The latest recording, "Special Occasions Vol.2", is available worldwide at www.cdbaby.com, and includes "Medley For Your Valentine".
This medley of (3)classic hits,features as a special guest, Major Harris,well known for his #1 classic hit song called, "Love Wont Let Me Wait".
The Winstons has also worked as a backup band, for saturday night live TV star and comedian, Joe Piscopo, The Platters,The Drifters, William Bell, The Marcels,The Dubs, The Five Disc,The Capris, Frankie Lymans Teenagers, and many others.
