Hi all BSB-fans!!!

I went to the premiere of the Backstreet Boys world tour in Ghent on
June
2nd.
The wait was long, but it was worth it!

At noon, my parents picked me up from school and we left for an amazing
day!

I was going to the concert with my mum since none of my friends is a
BSB-fan. There were two Belgian concerts sheduled, one for Wednesday
June
2nd and one for Thursday June 3rd, but the last one was cancelled
because
of technical problems. So all the people could go to the first date.

We arrived at the venue at 1 o'clock. We had to go in to a building
next to
the venue, where we had to wait a whole 5 hours before they let us in.
They
put is in blocks, so the fans who arrived first were let in first. We
were
in block 14.
A lot of girls had slept there the night before to get on the front
row.
And there were also lot of girls who skipped school, just to get on the
front row.
At 6.20pm they finally let us in. When we got in, there weren't that
many
people in front of the stage. We all had to sit down first on the floor
and
we were like the eighth row or something like that. At 7pm we had to
stand
up. Everybody was pushing to get a good spot in front of the stage and
I
got to the fifth row. I was very lucky! :o)

The stage was very special. It stood in the middle of the venue. The
stage
has five sides and is divided in 4 platforms of which the middle one
could
elevate. And the platform around that one, was the one with the
BSB-band on
it and that platform could turn around! There was also a little
platform in
the ceiling and there was a piano on it. That platform came down during
'Back To Your Heart' and Kevin played the piano. But the platform went
up
again, like 2-3 meters with Kevin on it and it could turn around, too!
That
was very special.

At 8.20pm the opening act, Tatyana Ali, began. She gave a very good
performance, I have to say. She had a very good show and you could see
that
she had prepared it very well! After 25 min. her part of the show was
over
and everybody was getting ready to see the boys.

At 9pm the lights went out and the band members stepped on stage. They
were
all dressed in white. The music started and dancers in orange suits who
were holding torches came on stage. They formed a circle.
The music stopped and a countdown started. Then we suddenly heard Star
Wars
music and the boys 'flew' in the venue. They flew on surfboards dressed
in
spacy outfits. They got of their surfboards and greeted every side of
the
stage. Then the tune of 'Larger Than Life' began. At the end of that
song,
flames came out of the stage.
At the end of that song, Nick introduced himself.

The next song was 'The One', they were dressed in black outfits. 'As
Long
As You Love Me' was the next song. While the boys got changed the
dancers
continued the chair dance and the sax player played a solo. The guys
returned in black leather outfits and sang 'Don't Wanna Lose You Now'
for
which song they sat on the middle of the stage that was elevated.
'Quit Playin Games' was next in line. The song started pretty 'normal'
but
suddenly Nick stood in front of us and dancers were getting him onto
belts.
The next thing I know was that they were flying over us! They flew like
2-3
meters above the crowd. They were dancing and doing backflips in the
air. I
had the impression that Kevin liked it very much! :o) But poor Brian
must
have been so scared!!!

They left the stage again and came back in black spacy outfits for
'Don't
Want You Back'. There were five ladders on the stage and the boys did
all
sorts of stunts on them. At one point Kevin was hanging upside down on
it!
:o)
After that it was time for 'The Perfect Fan' and five mother's and
daughters were getting on stage and the boys walked around stage with
them!

The next song was 'Everybody'. Everyone was dressed in white outfits
and at
some point of the show AJ was ripping his shirt! 'Everybody' was part
of a
medley that included also 'We've Got It Goin' On' and 'That's The Way I
Like It'. They left the stage again.
The boys now came back in pink pants and grey vests. They sang 'I'll
Never
Break Your Heart' and 'No One Else Comes Close'. Next in line was 'All
I
Have To Give' and they wore pink coats as well now. They did the hat
routine with the dancers also.
After that, Howie introduced 'Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely' and
he
dedicated it to the late Denniz Pop.

They left the stage again, but they stayed away for a little bit
longer.
They finally came back dressed in their usual clothes. They sang 'It's
Gotta Be You' and after that song they introduced the bsb-band. Then as
a
final song they sang 'I Want I That Way' and they thanked the audience
for
all their support and everything they'd done for them. There was a lot
of
confetti and fireworks then. And after that 2 amazing, wonderful hours
the
lights went on again. It was over but I had the time of my life!!!
