Twenty-four year old Jon-Erik (he'll be 25 on November 5) is originally from Englewood, New Jersey, but with his striking blue eyes and sun-streaked brown hair, you may have guessed that is heritage goes back to the beautiful fjords of Norway. In fact, Jon-Erik (that's his full name and the name he likes to be called) is the first generation of his family born in the United States, and he says he's definitely an all-American guy!
"I'm an American -- hot dogs and Coca-Cola and college football and all that stuff. I went to Norway once, and they eat fish and cheese there all the time. I was starved for french fries!" he says with a deep and sexy laugh.
And Jon-Erik's not kidding when he says he was starved for some fries. "Oh, junk food -- I like chicken supremes and Jack-In-The-Box," he admits of his semi-addiction. Pizza is another of his favorite foods, and when it come to dessert, cheesecake is first on his list.
But food isn't the only thing on this handsome bachelor's mind. Acting and singing are his first loves -- and at the moment, his career is taking precedence over girls! "There's a lot of stuff I want to do still, and I don't want to get tied up really," Jon-Erik confides. "I don't think I'd make a good husband yet because I'm really thinking about my work now. Besides that, I'm still kind of young and not ready for marriage."
Performing has been a part of Jon-Erik's life ever since he was in grammar school. "Going to the school plays was always the most fun then, and when I ws little, my mother used to take us (he has a brother Gunnar, who's 26) on the bus to all the musical comedies, operas and ballets."
At 6'1" tall and weighing 190 pounds, Jon-Erik is definitely the athletic type and was part of the gymnastics team in high school and played football during college. Now his favorite hobbies are diving and skiing. He also plays the piano, organ and baritone horn.
Music is an important part of Jon-Erik's life, and it has been ever since he was little, but he says, "I hated rock 'n' roll until I was a freshman in college. Now I like it a lot. I'd even love to be a rock star more than anything -- I'd love to be Mick Jagger! That would be great fun." Since he was turned on to rock music, Jon-Erik's favorite groups have become Foreigner and Boston, and he also likes the Go-Go's and Joan Jett.
