Jon-Erik Hexum & Meeno Peluce
Meet The Voyagers!

Can a 24-year-old from Tenafly, New Jersey really hit it off with a California co-star half his age? And can they convince an audience it’s all for real? You bet they can - especially when the guys involved are a special as these two! And if you tune into NBC’s Sunday night series The Voyagers!, you’ll be in for a real treat - for the affection between these two is really catching!

Jon-Erik’s name should tell you something all by itself - and if you don’t get it right away, one look into his clear, blazing blue eyes should do the trick. Yep, he’s of Scandinavian descent - his parents are Norwegian. Jon-Erik himself was brought up on these shores and exposed to singing and dancing lessons as a child. Show business was not his first love, however - he entered college as an engineering major. Living close to New York, however, he engineered his sexy good looks onto a few commercials and soap operas as well (“I was a day player, really,” he says, “I had a part on Texas as a prison guard and on The Doctors, I delivered a refrigerator.” Not real memorable, true - but Voyagers! should change all that.

Jon-Erik lives in the valley community of Van Nuys, California and spends his spare time perfecting his singing (those early lessons may pay off yet!) running along the beach or working out on the Nautilus equipment at a nearby gym.

Jon-Erik is 6’1 tall, weighs 190 lbs. and has sandy blond hair to go with those baby blues - he’s single and waiting to hear from you!

He and Meeno Peluce really do get along well - since Meeno is bright and sensitive way beyond his years, Jon-Erik often forgets the age difference and two get into heavy conversations about music, motorcycles, and foxy ladies. And though Meeno is the junior of the duo, he’s clearly the one with more on-camera experience. Surely you remember him from his co-starring part in last season’s Best of the West show. Too, Meeno’s been in TV movies (most recently, The Million Dollar Infield), feature films (The Jazz Singer), and tons of commercials.

For al his showbiz savvy, Meeno leads as normal an off-camera life as possible - he goes to school (he’s a seventh grader) in his Los Feliz neighborhood and takes his studies seriously: he’s part of the honor society. He also attends summer camp (on the weekends) and loves rock music like most kids his age. AC/DC’s a top favorite, but he also goes for Van Halen, the Rolling Stones, Pat Benatar and the Go-Go’s. Making a friend of Jon-Erik was the most natural thing in the work for Meeno - with his easy-going personality he gels along with just about anyone meets. when it comes to the opposite sex, Meeno looks for someone with a great personality and only dislikes people who are ‘non-cool’ and discourteous. Meeno’s advice for young people who dream of an acting career is “Believe in yourself.”
