An
Interview With a Real Lightbulb
Reporter: Hello, Mr. Bulb.
Bulb: H-hello.
Reporter: What was it like to
be an abused lightbulb?
Bulb: It was.. horrible. Every
day, the constant off, on, off, on, off, on, off, on.... I.. I need
my medication. There, that's better. The worst thing about being an
abused light is that you think it's your fault.
Reporter: You mean you thought
it was your fault that you were in that situation?
Bulb: Yes. It feels like you
must have done something awful to be punished so badly... I've gotten
over the guilt now, but there are still times when I feel some
blame.. And then there's the nightmares.
Reporter: Nightmares? About
your old situation?
Bulb: Yes. Even in my sleep I
feel like I'm getting turned on, off, on, off, on, off, on...
Reporter: How did you get out
of your enslavement?
Bulb: A man.. more of an angel,
really, suddenly took me from my bondage and put me in a bag with
many others like me. Then he set me free into the wild.
Reporter: That's a beautiful
story. Is there anything you would like to say to that man?
Bulb: Yes. I owe you my life,
man! You and all the rest of us who were saved!
Reporter: Thank you for your
time, Mr.Bulb. To everyone reading this, I would like you to remember
something. There are millions of lights in slavery just like Mr.Bulb
used to be. I urge you to sign the petition on the "Save the
Lightbulbs" page, and give them a chance!
