The One with the Extra Long Party

LAST TIME ON FRIENDS....
~ Monica & Chandler told Jack and Judy that they were engaged
~ Joey got a job at a chinese restaurant
~ Phoebe's mom wants to move in with her
Scene 1
:: Mon & Rach's Apt ::
Phoebe, Chandler, Monica and Rachel are in the kitchen when Phoebe
starts to
talk.
" Ya know who's birthday's coming up??" Phoebe says.
" I thought you were born in December?" Rachel wonders.
" Did I say it was my birthday??" she cries. " It's the triplets
birthday
duh! Can you believe it's been a year!?"
" Wow Phoebe that went fast..." Monica says, her eyes light up. " You
should
throw a party!!!!!" she cries.
" Oh no...Oh no..." Chandler starts to moan, remembering Monica's party
obsessiveness.
" What!? I'm serious! This is like a big deal! You could have a big
suprise
party!" Monica says, getting excited.
" Ok usually your ideas are crazy and like waaaay outta there but I
actually
like this one!" Phoebe smiles. " Just a small thing.."
" No, no why small? Why does everyone want a 'small' party?" Monica
wonders.
" Because then they dont have to deal with your ideas.." Chandler jokes.
Monica gives him an evil look. " And now I'm going to slump down in
this
chair and die..."
" Let Monica talk.....talk Monica.." Phoebe tells her. Monica gets a
notepad
and pen and sits.
" We can have it here. You, Frank Jr, Alice, me, Rachel, Chandler,
Joey,
Ross, you...." she writes all of this down. " We can figure other guests
later. I can go to Party Giant and get tons of baby birthday things! I
could
get a clown!" she cheers.
" I know a clown!" Chandler cries. " Oh no wait that's just a drunk guy
up
the block from work who hands broken glass to kids...."
" Anyway we can make it for Saturday at like, noonish till 6-ish.... oh
this
is gonna be so fun!" Monica says.
" Ohk Monica but dont you think we should ask Alice first?" Rachel
wonders.
" Its a suprise..." Monica smiles.
" I like it..." Phoebe says.
" PIN THE TAIL ON THE DONKEY!!" Monica sudenly cries.
" THEY ARE ONLY 1!" Chandler says in the same voice.
Everyone rolls their eyes and laughs.

Scene 2
:: Later That Day in the CP ::
Everyone minus Ross & Joey is sitting in the CP talking when Ross
enters,
looking upset as usual.
" Hi..." he famously says.
" I hate those hi's..." Joey says, shaking his head.
" What's wrong sweety?" Rachel wonders, making room for him to sit.
" Carol and Susan are moving with Ben to Connecticut!" he cries.
Everyone
gasps.
" Can they do that??" Monica wonders.
" Yea, I mean, I guess they can...." he says, " I cant drive up there
every
weekend.."
" They can't just leave you? Dont they know how much you love and need
to see
your son?" Rachel wonders.
" I guess not. Carol said they've been thinking this over for awhile
now."
Ross says.
" I think you should stop them. You say something Ross. This isn't
fair!"
Phoebe says, taking a stand.
" Ya know what Pheebs you're right. I'll make them stay in NYC!!" Ross
cries, pretending to be tough. He then sits back, " Monica can you help
me?"
" Ross, honey, I dont think you can change their...." he interupts her.
" Why are you always so much like mom!!" he cries, leaving himself.
Rachel
thinks and then follows him upstairs. Monica opens a bag from the
floor.
" Ok, I know it's only Thursday but look what I got...." she says,
taking
party hats and streamers out of the bag.
" Monica you are so sweet...crazy...but sweet..." Phoebe smiles. " I
told
Alice to come by at noon for lunch with the babies."
" Great.....oh! Ok, I was not going to get these outfits till Friday
nite but
when I saw this for little Leslie.....I died..." Monica says, showing
Chandler and Phoebe a little sailor suit for a girl.
" Now all she needs is Leo and a giant ship and she's good to go!"
Chandler
jokes. Monica just smiles. She looks at her watch.
" Ok, I took today so I could have Saturday off. I'll see you tomorrow
Pheebs and you...." she gives Chandler a kiss. " I'll see you later...."
she
leaves.
" Can I tell you something kinda...weird?" Chandler asks, facing Phoebe.
" That's what I'm here for..." she smiles.
" I had this crazy dream last nite that Monica and I were married and we
lived in this awful trailer....." he shivers. " And we had like 8 babies
and
Monica was really fat and so was I and she was screaming at me.......oh
it
was awful!! What does that mean????" he cries.
" Oh ha ha........dont worry Chandler that's not gonna happen to you.
My
friend Libby who has 7 toes, she had that before she got her cat. Its
the
same thing..." she smiles.
" How could this and that be the same thing?? Monica is not a cat!!" he
yells.
" Listen, you're just nervous about getting married. You're just
getting
threw with commitment and babies and stuff and ya know, stuff like
that!" she
tells him.
" Oh...ok...yea...." he says, confused.
Scene 3
:: Ross's Apt ::
Rachel follows Ross upstairs and knocks on his door after awhile.
" Come in..." he moans. She enters.
" Hey....listen Ross, I have an idea I think might make you feel
better..."
she smiles, sitting him on the couch and she sits next to him.
" It better be a good idea..." he says.
" You've lived here for how long?" Rachel starts.
" Well, counting the day I moved in and....about.....3 months..." he
says.
" No! In Manhattan...." he goes to count and she stops him. " Let's just
say
your whole life. Dont you want change? Dont you think Ben would be
safer
and happier growing up in the country?"
" Yes yes and yes but I want to be there with him!!!" he cries.
" Then why dont we go there...." Rachel smiles brightly.
" Go there? Move to Connecticut?" he wonders.
" Yea! Come on, listen. We wanted to start over right? Why dont we
really
start over. Buy a little house with a pool. Ben can come over
everyday! We
can be together alone in quiteness and I'm sure Monica and Chandler
wouldnt
mind visiting!" she says. Ross thinks and then nods his head smiling.
" I love you..." he says, giving her the biggest hug. " Let's do it!!"
" Yea!" Rachel gets up.
" Work?" Ross thinks.
" You told me yourself there is a new museum opening up there in
September!
There ya go!" Rachel cheers.
" This is great, wait till I till Carol and Susan and Ben! Ohk so we
have to
start looking for houses and towns and..." he gets out a notepad.
" Ha! You and your sister get more alike everyday...." Rachel laughs.
" Yikes, I hope Monica's ok with Ben leaving and us leaving..." he
thinks.
" She has Chandler and they'll have a million babies soon..." Rachel
tells
him.
" You're right....ok so..." he starts to think of places...

Scene 4
:: Party Day ::
It was the day of the triplets party and Monica was becoming more and
more
obsessed with the babies. Ross and Rachel hadnt told anyone about their
moving to Connecticut. Monica was putting up the streamers when
Chandler
entered in shock.
" Uh yea Phoebe I need to talk to you...." Chandler says threw his teeth
shaking.
" Okaaaaaaaay..." Phoebe says, walkin over to him. Monica is confused.
Chandler and Phoebe go into the hallway. Monica quietly listens in.
OUTSIDE
" I had another one....." he cries. " This one was worse! We were at the
party today and Monica told me she was pregnant with sextuplets! And I
fainted and then their were snakes coming out of her head and she was
MEDUSA....." she stops him.
" Stop it!! You are crazy!! You are nuts!! " Phoebe yells.
" Ok but really...." she stops him again.
" No! Just stop it! Do you love Monica?" she asks.
" Yes..." he says.
" Do you trust Monica?" she wonders.
" Of course I do......" he smiles.
" Then shut up about these stupid dreams and go in there and hang with
your
girlfriend cause you havent in awhile..." Phoebe tells him, " Go go
go!!"
Chandler obeys and runs into the apartment when Monica backs away from
the
door.
" You heard everything??" he says, nervously. She nods.
" Dont worry, I understand......" she hugs him, " Now let's get
moving!!!"
--Everyone starts arriving and then Alice enters with the babies.--
" SUPRISE!!" everyone yells. The babies start crying and so does
Monica.
" Why are you crying!?" Chandler wonders, hugging her.
" They are soooo cute!!!" Monica says. Everyone laughs and the party
pretty
much turns into a social gathering.
Scene 5
:: The Talk ::
Ross & Rachel pull Monica out to the terrace to talk about their news.
" What's up?" Monica wonders.
" Ok well, Rachel and I have done a lot of talking and looking and
everything
and...." he smiles at Rachel. " We're moving to Connecticut..." Monica
is
in shock.
" We're starting over. And Ross wants to be closer to Ben and it's just
better for us.." Rachel says.
" But Ross....I....I'm really happy for you guys but, when will I see
you?
When will I see Ben?" Monica cries.
" Whenever you and Chandler want to come up! And you guys will be
starting
your own family and life too. Why dont you come up there too?" he
wonders.
" I dont know Ross. This is just so sudden I mean, you guys have been
together for what, 1 month?" she points out.
" We know this is it." Rachel says straight out.
" Ok well then, I'm happy for you. I'm just gonna miss you guys and
Ben.."
Monica sighs. " Alright its hug time.." she smiles, hugging them both
and
they go inside. Monica starts to light he candles and the babies start
laughing. Everyone starts to sing Happy Birthday and Chandler puts his
arms
around Monica.
" I love babies...." Monica says.
" Yea I know you do..." he laughs, " But I do too so I think we'll be
ok.."
they kiss and the candles go out. The presents are opened and it starts
getting late.
Scene 6
:: Stay, just a little bit longer ::
Ross and Rachel are sitting together on the couch and Rachel sighs
deeply.
" Everything ok?" Ross wonders.
" Yea yea I'm happy.." she smiles and then frowns.
" Come on, do you not want to move??" he wonders. She nods sadly.
" I love it here. I love this apartment. I love New York..." she
says. He
puts his arm around her.
" I was thinking the same thing..." he sighs, " Ya know, CN is only 1
1/2
hours away. I can drive up there to see Ben. And, Monica is right,
we've
only been together for a month. Let's wait a little longer. I'm
happiest
right here with you..." he smiles, kissing her.
" Good, so am I..." she kisses him back.
Alice gets up and the babies are already put into the stroller.
Everyone
else but R&R, Alice the babies, Frank Jr, Phoebe, Chandler and Monica
had
left. Ross and Rachel were on the couch, Frank and Alice were ready to
leave. Monica jumps up.
" NO!!" she yells, " i mean, why dont you have more cake? Or or ice
cream?"
" Thank you Monica but we really should go..." Alice smiles.
" No, I know what we forgot!!" Monica gets out the video of the day the
babies were born. They watch it for 2 hours and Monica talks and plays
with
the babies the whole time. Alice smiles but says its time to leave
again.
Monica stops her.
" Wait!" 2 more times they try to leave and Monica finds a way to make
them
stay but finally, they have to leave.
" Thank you Monica..." Alice hugs her.
" Yea, that was a great...uh....extra long party..." Frank laughs.
Monica
frowns.
" You can watch the babies anyday you want..." Alice smiles.
" Ok.. thanks...you guys better go before I find something else to stop
you
with..." she smiles. Chandler puts his arms around her. " Bye Chandler,
Leslie, Frank Jr. Jr..." she says. They leave and C, M, R&R fall to the
couch.
" That party was too long...." Ross jokes.
" Not as long as it'll be before i see you guys..." Monica says.
" What are you talking about?" Chandler wonders. Ross and Rachel tell
them
the story and then tell them that they are not going to move. They are
happy. Just then, Joey enters.
" Chandler!!! Chandler!!! The duck!! The chick and the duck!!" Joey
cries,
looking worried. Chandler gives him a worried look and the scene fades.
