The One with the Ring

LAST TIME ON FRIENDS....
~ The Magic Song brought Monica and Chandler out of a fight
Scene 1
:: Mon & Rach's Apt ::
Rachel and Monica were just sitting around the apartment on Saturday morning
watching 'The View". Rachel is staring at Monica's ring.
" Rach...are you ok??" Monica laughs.
" Can I try it on??" Rachel begs. Monica thinks.
" I dont think so..." Monica laughs.
" Oh come on, why not??" Rachel whines.
" It won't fit you! And I have to leave for work in like, 5 minutes. If it
gets stuck, we're in trouble.." Monica smiles, getting up.
" Fine. Guess I'll never get to wear one then..." she sighs.
" You will someday...." Monica says. She goes into her room and put the ring
in the box it came in and left it in her drawer. Then she leaves for work.
Rachel waits a few minutes and then goes into Monica's room, take the ring
out of the box and squeezes it on her finger.
" I do..." she jokes to herself. Someone knocks on the door and Rachel tries
to pry the ring off but can't. She starts freaking out. " Coming!!" she
yells, " Damnit come off my finger!" she cries. But it wont. She closes the
drawer and runs to the door. She puts her hand in her pocket. It's Phoebe.
" Geez what were you doing?" Phoebe wonders. Rachel closes the door and
shows Phoebe her hand. " Ohmygod!!!! Ross proposed!!!!" she cries.
" No!! No! This is Monica's! It's stuck Phoebe!!" Rachel cries.
" I can't believe she let you try it on..." Phoebe says, trying to get it off.
" She didn't....." Rachel is almost in tears. " She's going to kill
me...she's gonna cut my finger off...."
" Yea....but that would probably get it off right?..." Phoebe wonders.
Rachel gives her an evil look.

Scene 2
:: The Bathroom :
Rachel and Phoebe have put soap on Rachel's finger.
" Hold it over the sink and I'll pull...." Phoebe says, pulling Rachel over.
" Ok but dont scratch it!! Monica looks at this thing constantly!" Rachel
cries.
" Ok ready...1.....2......3...." the ring goes flying. (Slow Motion) The ring
flips in the air and they watch it as is falls into the sink and down the
drain. Rachel and Phoebe look at eachother and scream.
" OHMYGOD! OHMYGOD!!" Rachel says, in tears. " She's gonna kill me!! She's
gonna kill me!!"
" SHE'LL KILL ME TOO!!" Phoebe cries back.
" What are we gonna do? I know!! Let's not tell her!" Rachel thinks.
" She's gonna find out Rach....duh..." Phoebe says. They think all afternoon.
Scene 3
:: After Work ::
Monica came home early because she didnt feel too well and stopped into Joey
& Chandler's before going home. She opens the door and Joey is sitting in
the reclining chair.
" Hey Joe...is Chandler home?" she asks.
" No not yet, you ok?" Joey wonders.
" Yea just a little tired.." she smiles, " Can you tell him I can't make it
to dinner tonite?"
" No problem. If you need anything, Joey is here!" he says.
" Thanx Joe.." she leaves and goes across the hall and tries to open the door
but Phoebe and Rachel have it all locked.
-INSIDE-
" She's home!!" Rachel cries, Phoebe runs out of the bathroom with the wrench
and hides it under the couch. She jumps into the sofa. The door opens.
Monica makes a quick dash for her room.
" Where are you going!?!" Phoebe yells. Monica doesnt stop.
" She knows...she knows...she has hidden cameras in here!! I knew it!!"
Rachel says, getting all nervous and jumpy. Phoebe grabs her arms.
" Stop! Stay calm!" Phoebe says. Monica comes out.
" Why are you screaming?" she wonders.
" Cause...well,....you didnt even say hello to us!" Phoebe frowns.
" Sorry! Hi hello!" Monica smiles, hugging them. " I think I'm sick...wait, I
know I'm sick..."
" Aww well, I'm gonna go...see ya!" Phoebe grabs her bag and Rachel pinches
her. " Owwwww k I'll stay..." she says, sighing.
" Monica...we we we we have something to tell you..." Rachel studders.
Monica sits on the couch.
" Well, really Rachel is most of it..." Phoebe says.
" Oh Monica.....sweet kind caring Monica.." Rachel starts.
" What did you do!? What did you break!?" Monica cries suddenly.
" Monica please dont hurt me but I kinda tried on your engagement ring..."
she starts.
" And..." Monica says.
" And.....it got stuck on my finger and Phoebe and I got it off and then it
went down the sink..." she says quickly. Everything becomes silent and
Monica freezes and tears start forming.
" Rachel......oh my god..." Monica says, in tears now.
" I know...I know...I'm so stupid...I'm sooo sorry..." Rachel says, standing
across the room from her.
" That's why I told you not to try it on!! That's why!! Dont you ever listen
to me!?" Monica starts yelling. " Do you know how much that meant to me!?"
" I know...I know..." Rachel says, backing away. Monica sits down.
" I could kill you right now Rachel!!" Monica screams. " What do I tell
Chandler??"
" Tell him I did it...." Rachel says. Monica gets up. " Where are you
going?!"
" I can't stay here with you... I'm afraid I might hurt you. I'm gonna go
wait for Chandler..." she says, slamming the door. Rachel looks at Phoebe
sadly.
" I feel awful..." Rachel says.
" Let's try to get it out then....." Phoebe says. " You're sink always clogs
and Monica didnt use it since we dropped it so it's probably sitting right on
top!"
" Ok good idea. Hey, get Joey. He knows this stuff!" Rachel picks up the
phone.
Scene 3
:: Later on ::
Joey goes to help Phoebe and Rachel unclog the drain while Monica waits for
Chandler to get home. She sits in the recliner bored. That's when the duck
comes over to her and she smiles,
" Hey.....I have an idea...." Monica laughs. Time passes and we see Monica,
who has dressed up the birds. The duck has on a little overall outfit. The
chicken is wearing a little pink dress. Monica got the outfits from a toy
box she'd been holding for the triplets. She watches them walk around and
laughs and she picks they up when Chandler comes in.
" Wow honey, they have my fathers eyes..." Chandler immediately jokes. "
What are you doing??" he laughs. She puts the birds down.
" Just playing.....I have to tell you something..." she suddenly remembers
the ring.
" You're pregnant with a another goose....." Chandler jokes again.
" No no this is serious. Ra......." she stops. " My ring went down the sink.
I had it sitting on the side to wash my hands and it fell. I'm so sorry..."
Chandler looks at her dissapointed.
" Woah....that...that really sucks. That's my money down the tubes.." he
sighs.
" I know, I feel awful. I've been thinking about it all day..." she says.
He smiles at laughs a little, " What?! I was! Dont you even care?"
" Were you thinking about it before or after you dressed out little
children?" he smiles, putting his arms around her.
" While.....why are you being so fine about this?" she suddenly wonders.
" Because I know it was an accident and besides, it's not the ring I love.
It's you." he says sweetly.
" Wow, I am so lucky that you are so sweet...." she kisses him.
" I'll get you another ring..." he says.
" No you dont have to. Really.." she says.
Scene 4
:: Meanwhile in R&M ::
Joey is under the sink, Phoebe is talking to him threw the drain and Rachel
is nervously sitting on the toilet.
" Hey Joey!!! I can see you! This is sooooo cool!!" Phoebe says with her eye
in the sink.
" Great Pheebs.....wait...wait...I see something!!" Joey says. Rachel jumps
up. " Nope never mind.."
" I feel so bad. Monica hates me now..." Rachel cries.
" She doesn't hate you..." Phoebe says.
" Get Ross over here....I need a man in here!" Joey says.
" Fine, if we're not good enough!" Phoebe says, storming out to call Ross.
--LATER--
Ross arrives in overalls. Rachel starts to laugh.
" Honey, did you milk the cows yet?" Rachel jokes.
" Hahaha.....so what happened?" Ross says, going into the bathroom with Joey.
" Rachel dropped Monica's ring down the sink." Joey says.
" Her engagement ring!?!?" Ross cries.
" Yea yea we already went through the whole drama story of it now help
me...." Joey cries. " Cause i have better things to be doing!"
" Like what?" Phoebe wonders. There is silence.
" Well...like.....hey, just things ok?" Joey says. Ross and Joey both stick
their heads under the sink and then look at eachother.
" Boy would Chandler have a crack or two about this moment.." Ross laughs.
" I see it!!" Joey cries.
" Yea!! Yea!! Hold on, let me wash my hands before going in there again.."
Ross says, he gets up and turns the sink on. All at once Phoebe, Rachel and
Joey cry.
" NOOOO!!!" the water goes on and Rachel see's water come flying out of the
kitchen sink like a fountain. Ross turns the water off and the ring falls to
the floor.
" Oh my god!!!! It's here!!" Rachel says, dancing over to it. " MONICA!!" she
yells. Monica and Chandler comes into the apartment.
" We got it out!!" Rachel smiles.
" Oh thank god!" Monica says, taking it from her.
" Chandler I'm...." Rachel begins to apoligize and Monica stops her.
" I'm glad you found the ring I dropped down the sink.." Monica says. She
realizes Monica didn't tell on her and hugs her.
" Well, I'm glad too..." Rachel says.
" Whew am I glad that is over. " Phoebe laughs, grabbing her bag. " I have
some writing to do about this...." she leaves.
" So you're feeling better Monica?" Joey wonders. Chandler is confused.
" What happened?" he asks her.
" Oh nothing nothing its just work...its making me sick..." Monica smiles.
" Why?." Chandler wonders. Monica sits in the recliner and puts the ring on.
" Everyone still hates me and I havent been able to cook anything right. I
think I'm gonna just quit. I'll go back to Moondance or something..." she
sighs.
" Come on, you're in charge, it cant be that bad!" Ross says.
" Its bad Ross....." Monica says.
" So why dont you just not work for awhile. With my salary I can pay the
half rent you pay and mine. You need to start getting stuff for the wedding
anyway." Chandler suggests.
" Really? You would do that for me?" she says in shock.
" Yea why not! You're my wife to be.." he smiles. She gets up and gives him
a big hug.
" I love you..." Moncica says.
" This is so cute..." Rachel says, hugging Ross. Phoebe looks at Joey and
they hug. They all decide to go out to dinner together.
