When young journalist Caroline Jarvis (Kerry Norton) enters a disused industrial plant to interview controversial scientist Dr. Jordan, she finds herself plunged into a world of nightmares.
Jordan is dead, but his son Balthasar (Daniel Jordan) is very much alive and looking for company! The living result of Jordan's experiment to fuse man and computer, Balthasar has become the internet's first mutant child. Cursed to live apart from humanity, Balthasar surfs cyberspace, fedding off the suffering and pain of those whose stories he finds there and dragging them down to his own special Cyberhell. Balthasar exploits Caroline's journalistic curiosity, using these tales of terror to draw her towards his lair. But Balthasar strikes a hard bargain. he will share all his father's secrets, a world of hidden knowledge, but in return she must meld with him, giving him an exit to the outside world.
