I just received this in my mailbox. Please consider the following rumors. The new thing here is that Eliza Dushko maybe playing Sidney in one of the Stab sequels. Another thing is the mention of Duane Martin (Joel from ,i> Scream 2). Here is what Victor had to say:

Current rumors are saying that Rebecca Gayheart is back reprising her original role of Lois (the sorority sister from "Scream 2"), Lois will have a supporting role on "Stab 3". So Duane Martin is back in his role of Joel (the cameraman from "Scream 2")?

Also Eliza Dushku will also star playing Sidney in "Stab 2". Well, Emily Mortimer, Parker Posey and Deon Richmond will plays Sidney, Gale and Joel in "Stab 3". The real Gale is hosting a talk-show about movies, called Talk Entertaiment and Joel still is Gale's camera man.

Is almost certain that the trailer for Scream 3 will be attached to Wes Craven's Music of The Heart aka "50 Violins". Time will tell.

Scream 3 pic #2
A new pic from Scream 3 has been posted in the USA Today. Here is what they had to say:

Production delays have bumped the release date of Scream 3, the second sequel and final chapter in the life of perpetually pursued Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell again), from Dec. 10 to Feb. 4. So here's something scary to tide you over: Courteney Cox - excuse us, newlywed Courteney Cox Arquette - plays intrepid reporter Gale Weathers. Parker Posey plays Weathers in Stab 3, the low-budget horror movie-within-a-movie that provides the setting for Scream 3. David Arquette is back as dimwitted lawman Dewey. Fright master Wes Craven once again directs, while cast newcomers include Patrick Dempsey, Jenny McCarthy and Scott Foley of TV's Felicity." -USA Today

Also, David Arquette was interviewd by the UK site Popcorn. You can hear his interview by cliking here. You need RealPlayer to do that.

Wes Craven.com was wrong! The movie will open on February 4th, a Friday. I also found out The Internet Movie Database has posted a few more character names:"

Patrick Dempsey .... Buddy LaFlear
Kate Hudson .... Melanie Watson
Deon Richmond .... Gabe Turner

Extremely bad news for everyone that has been waiting for Scream 3. Wes Craven.com has posted the film wont hit theatres until February 7. How sucky does this sound? I know. I am soo sad. What is weird about this is that February 7 is a Monday, which is somewhat peculiar for a movie this big to open on a Monday. There might be mistakes, though. Here is what it was posted on the direçtor's official web site:

The release date has officially been pushed back to Feb 7, 2000, due to the crowded slate of December - when it seems everybody and his brother is releasing a big film.

He also had this to say:

Last night ended the 3rd to last day of shooting, ending Liev Schreiber's days on the pic. We've already finished Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and most of the others. Courteney Cox and Parker Posey work Tuesday to end their work, and we have one last day, Wednesday, with Kelly from Melrose Place. Then that's it!

As you can see, Liev Schreiber is indeed a part of the movie, which I think is very good news. Another thing is that this release date change may change, although I do think it's unlikely. Scream 2 opened just a week before Titanic and still grossed pretty good. I also remember Scream 2 having the release date of Januray 9, 1998, but they changed to the previous December 12, 1997 release. Things could always change. And if you people, of Miramax or Dimension see this, please change Scream 3 back to its December 10th release. We can sure kick Stuart Little's and Galaxy Quest's butt (these two movies will be openin on Dec. 10th). Scream 3 has finished shooting today.

Carrie Fisher (Star Wars) will be having a cameo in Scream 3. Here is what she had to say:

"I have no ambitions as an actress," admits Carrie Fisher, the artist formerly known as Princess Leia. "I'm going to do a day's work on Scream 3, but that's all I can handle, a day's work."

September 16 , 1999

Dark Horizons has posted a rumour regarding the first two deaths of the movie. I know some of you dont want to know, so if you are really desperate, just highlight the line below. Thanks!

Scream 3 Teaser Poster
The People over at http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com have finally go their hands on the new Scream 3 teaser poster. Very cool.

September 5 , 1999

Scr3am.net has posted that Scream 3 is ot be wrapped in about 30 days. That would live to the end of september and we can expect a trailer for Scream 3 by then. No movie has been attached yet.

Also, Scr3am.net said that a poster for Scream 3 will be posted in Dawson's room, in Dawson's Creek. If this is the case, they would take down the Scream poster and put the Scream 3 poster instead.

One more thing, about all that Parker Posey interview thing, it is all fake. Someone has said that they posted it just to see where it would lead. So don't worry, everything is fake and untrue.

Dimension Films Scream 3 logo
Dimension Films has finally opened their official Scream 3 site. Be sure to check their cool Shockwave intro. It appears to be that the logo doesn't no loger have the "3" instead of the "E", but it has the big number 3 with Neve Campbell's inside it. As you can see in the image above, there is the "normal" number 3, and this number 3 has a pointy middle, like the middle of the letter M.

AUGUST 30, 1999

Tonight's edition of Entertainment Tonight reported that Jenny McCarthy has left production on the comedy spoof Scream If You Know What I Did Last Halloween to appear in Scream 3 instead
Former MTV ``Singled Out'' host and sitcom vixen Jenny McCarthy has moved from one Dimension film to another. McCarthy, who this month was cast in the studio's horror spoof ``Scream If You Know What I Did Last Halloween,'' has dropped out of the project. She's now working on ``Scream 3'' for horrormeister Wes Craven. Apparently, McCarthy was originally cast in ``Scream 3'' but couldn't take the role because of scheduling conflicts and was then cast in the spoof. When schedules recently changed, McCarthy came back to the horror pic, where she will play actress Sarah Darling
Again thanks very much to the best Scream 3 site on the net, www.scr3am.net

Never always trust a gossip columnist! I say that because Parker Posey's quote was completely misunderstood. Megan, over at www.scr3am.net
has said that a resident of Australia saw the interview and this is how it really went:

InterviewerWhy did you take this part in Scream 3?

PoseyWell I needed to pay some bills(laughs). No, really, I'm a big fan of the previous two. And I love to scream my lungs out (laughs).

InterviewerWhat can you tell us about your role?

PoseyAh, I play an actress in a movie called Stab 3: Returning to Woodsboro. It's a lot of fun and a lot of screaming!

InterviewerYour part has been cut back a bit, what do you think about that?

PoseyWell I had a fit at Wes and then I went around and killed my co-stars (laughs). Actually, I understand, I mean I've had my parts cut back before, It's just they don't need me as much as they thought.

AUGUST 27, 1999

E! Online's ted Casablanca reports that parker Posey is unhappy with her role in Scream 3 and quotes her reason for taking the role as
"I needed to pay some bills"
He goes on to say, "Apparently Parker Posey is less than thrilled with her role as an actress in a movie about an actress who's in a movie." Keep in mind this is taken from the gossip section of the web site. Thanks to www.scr3am.net

Scream 3 pic
He is the pic and article which appeared in the Entertainment Weekly magazine of August 20/ 27, 1999.

WHAT"S THE BIG DEAL? You have to ask?
"Like the script for the last Scream sequel, this one was kept under you-could-read-it-but-then-we'd-have-to-kill-you wraps. Not that you could make heads or tails of it: Killings happen around the shootinf of the movie-within-the-movie Stab 3, the sequel to Stab 2, which was based on what happened in Scream 2... "We're seeing the reality behind the reality behind the reality," says Craven of the $40 million sequel. Confused? "It took me a few minutes to get it," laughs Campbell, who, as perpetual victim Sidney, begins this installment in hiding. One Scream stalwart who wasn't around to clarify was creator Kevin Williamson, who was off directing Teaching Mrs. Tingle and writing ABC's Wasteland, so Ehren Kruger (who wrote Reindeer Games) filled in. Meanwhile, everyone with email seemed to be posting "insider" info. Alicia Silverstone, Kate Winslet, and Shannen Doherty were rumored to be the opening-sequence victim, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Ben Affleck as cameos. Craven, though cagey, insists this is the end of Scream. "That's it," he says. "No more whatsoever." Here's an idea: A director promises there won't be a forth, and then... "

JULY 28, 1999

Wes Craven revealed this on his web site
We've started shooting July 6 and will continue through mid-September. The cast includes Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Parker Posey, Scott Foley, Matt Keeslar, plus a few surprises. As many of you already know, the story revolves around the making of STAB 3: RETURN TO WOODSBORO. As for the rest of the plot, well, the movie will be in theatres December 10, 1999...
Notice he said STAB 3 and not STAB 2.

JULY 20, 1999

Parker Posey character's name is Natalie O'Hehir. She is also Gale in Stab 2.

Brazilian Teaser Poster
A copy for the Brazilian Scr3am Teaser Poster has hit the net. Thanks to www.scr3am.net

JULY 15, 1999

Patrick Dempsey Lance Henriksen Emily Mortimer Deon Richmond Shannen Doherty
Production for Scr3am is being secretly done, and the script is only give to the actor the night before they shoot. We don't know much about the plot, but we sure do know a lot about the cast. Some new cast additions are Emily Mortimer ("Notting Hill"), Patrick Dempsey ("Aliens") and Lance Henriksen ("Millenium").

Others say (note this is a rumor) that Deon Richmond ("Trippin'", "Sister, Sister") and Shannew Doherty have also joined the growing cast.

JULY 13, 1999

Got some news today that makes some sense, finally! I found out that Matt Kesslar (Mr. Magoo) is playing a character on Stab 2, and Parker Posey (You've Got Mail) will play Matt's love interest in STAB 2. If you think for a bit, Parker Posey looks a lot like Courtney Cox (Gale Weathers), so Matt Keeslar (which look like David Arquette) is playing the character played by David Arquette (Dewey Riley). In other words, Matt Keeslar is Dewey Riley and Parker Posey is Gale Weathers, in the movie-with-in-a-movie, STAB 2.
(note that this is not 100% true, it is just a rumour)

Also, that rumor about Kate Winslet being in the opening scene may be false, since I heard she is currently shooting another movie, entitled Quills. Another rumor I think it's false, but people say it is true, is that Steve "Stone Cold" Austin is playing a police officer in the movie.

JULY 12, 1999

I was checking out www.scr3am.net and I found out that Scr3am will hit Brazil on January 1, 2000. The SCREAM movies in Brazil are known as PANICO or Panic, if translated, and with possible taglines like "The millenium will start screaming" or "The millenium begins in panic"

Also, I have heard Kate Winslet (from that movie you all may know called TITANIC ), may be up for opening scene. Let's see what happens.

JULY 11, 1999

The International Movie Data Base reports Scr3am will hit Australian screens on Januray 20, 2000.

JULY 7, 1999

Scott Foley Matt Keeslar Ethan Erickson Kate Hudson Eliza Dushku Alyson Hannigan
Shooting starts (or has it started?) today. Some more new cast info! Stars Scott Foley ("Felicity") , Matt Keeslar ("The Last Days of Disco"), Ethan Erickson ("Jawbreaker"), Kate Hudson ("200 Cigarretes"), Eliza Dushko ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer") and Alyson Hannigan ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer") have been rumored of officialy signed in for Scream 3 , starring television stars Neve Campbell ("Party of Five" ) and Courteney Cox ("Friends" ). Foley will make his feature film debut as a hip music video director in the third installment of the popular horror flick from writer Kevin Williamson ("Dawson's Creek" ). "Scream 3," which also stars David Arquette and Parker Posey, is expected to hit theaters December 10th. Thanks to Scream-Trilogy.com and Cinescape.com .

Also Kinowelt Films (Dimension's German sister) has released an image for Scream 3. It is below. Thanks again to Scream-Trilogy.com

JULY 7, 1999

More juicy gossip has followed since Parker Posey's casting on the film. Heather Graham's rumoured involvement now seems pretty much out, possibly relating to a quote she gave to Premiere Magazine - "I would rather have an orgasm on screen than be stabbed to death on screen". There's a lot of guys out there who would rather see you do the former as well I bet. Claire Danes was apparently seen at a cast & crew meeting last Wednesday, infer from that what you will (I think she'd make a great opening sequence victim). Shooting begins tomorrow, the complete script has now been seen by the various cast members though the killer/s identity remains secret. Sidney's character is also rumoured to have one different aspect this time around - she's very stand-offish with men who want to get close to her (after all one boyfriend wanted to kill her, the other died in front of her). This has called for a larger than previous female cast as well as a possible gay character who provides a lot of comic relief - filling the void left by the deceased Randy. Thanks to KevinWilliamson.Com. adn Dark Horizons

JULY 6, 1999

Shotting starts tomorrow. I am a bit worried that no new cast has been annouced, but in the other side its good because they said they would keep the Scream 3 production clompetely top secret. I also don't think shotting will be postponed again. If they did, they would annouce earlier. Got some news that in the script, when the killer is revealed, instead of saying the character's name, it says KILLER, and the killer is said to take his/her/their mask out of their faces and revealing himself/herself/themselves. It is not going to be like SCREAM, where [they] don't take their masks out, and Sidney just discovers it. Got any news on Scream send it in!!

JULY 1, 1999

Parker Posey
Parker Posey (Greg Kinnear's wife in YOU'VE GOT MAIL) just signed in today to play a role in Scream 3. No one really knows what she will be playing, but it looks like to me is something to do with reporters (her age tells it all). Lets see. Production is still set to start in 6 days.
