Did you pick up these traits from hanging around your father? I'm amazed at how much he dug being in my life. I was born right when he was at the top of his game, and he just decided, I want to spend time with my kid. He coached my baseball team. I remember an umpire called one of our players out, and he clearly wasn't, so my dad chased the umpire around the field. The umpire had to lock himself behind a fence - and he was he one with a bat in his hands. Growing up, how many times did he subject you to The Godfather? When I was 11 years old, I finally sat down to watch it, and I freaked when they machine-gunned Sonny. I had to call him to ask if he was all right. He was, like, "Yeah, I'm fine. What are you talking about?" How did you explain a movie like Ready to Rumble to him? I didn't. I said, "Don't go see it." And he said, "Great, OK." So if Frank, Dean, and the gang came back from Rat Pack heaven and saw the new film, what would they say? They'd say, "Fuck, where was that Steven Soderbergh cat when we made our movie?"
