Scream 3 : Parker Posey (The House Of Yes) will star in a lead role in Scream 3. The plot is said to be more spoof than splatter and will be about the lives of the Scream crew, out of college and dealing with adult concerns, which, unfortunately, include that pesky black-robed specter. X-Men : Halle Berry and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos are in negotiations to join the cast of X-Men. Berry would play Storm, who summons hurricane-force winds, rain and bolts of lightning to control the weather. Romijn-Stamos will take on Mystique, a blue-skinned villainess who is able to change shapes into anyone she's seen. The cast already includes Ian McKellen as Magneto, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Dougray Scott as Wolverine and Anna Paquin as Rogue. Shooting is will begin in September. Bryan Singer (Usual Suspects) will direct the film. Pavarotti in Dad's Room : Rachel Griffiths and Jonathan Pryce will star in Pavarotti in Dad's Room which will be directed by Sara Sugarman (Mad Cows). The pic is the story of an naive girl living with her father. When he becomes ill, she is forced to venture into world with comical consequences. Boys and Girls : Freddie Prinze Jr. (She's All That) and director Robert Iscove will reteam for the romantic comedy Boys and Girls. The film will centers around Ryan (Prinze) and Jennifer, two best friends whose relationship is tested after sex enters the mix. The female lead is not known yet. Cheer Fever : Kirsten Dunst will play the lead Cheer Fever. The film is about the world of high school cheerleaders, which Dunst will play a competitive cheerleader vying for a spot on the squad. Once she's accepted, she leads the team to the National Cheerleading Championship, with the girls overcoming numerous obstacles in the process, culminating in a "Rocky"-like climax. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s Pearl Street production will helm the film. Jordan Brady (Dill Scallion) will direct the film. Keeping the Faith : Anne Bancroft, Eli Wallach, Holland Taylor and Ron Rifkin will join Edward Norton, Ben Stiller and Jenna Elfman in Keeping the Faith which Norton is directing. Around the World in 80 Days : Mummy team of director Stephen Sommers and actor Brendan Fraser are negotiating with Warner Bros for a remake of the Jules Verne classic Around the World in 80 Days. A script has been written by Stan Chervin. And Sommers and Frazer are thinking to make a sequel of the Mummy. Going After Cacciato : Writer-director Nick Cassavetes will direct his adaptation of Tim O'Brien's novel Going After Cacciato. In the movie, the title character, fed up with trying to destroy Vietcong tunnels and losing members of his battalion in bloody carnage, goes AWOL with the intention of walking to France. His battalion mates set out to follow him and bring him back, though it is unclear whether they have authorization to do so, or if they will really bring him back. Moulin Rouge : Actor John Leguizamo joined Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge. Leguizamo and film's director Buz Luhrman also worked in Romeo + Juliet. The film takes place in 1899 Paris and follows a poet who has an affair with a nightclub star as he becomes involved with the local bohemian underground. Leguizamo will play the diminutive artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
