Pierce Brosnan : It is reported that Pierce Brosnan who comes this fall with The World is Not Enough will not return as James Bond after a fourth and final James Bond movie to be shot and released in 2001. The article says the actor has already lined up a 'wish list' of projects he will remake his image starting in 2002. Knockaround Guys : Barry Pepper (sharphooter from Saving Private Ryan) , is in final talks to play the lead in Knockaround Guys. The screenwriters David Levien and Brian Koppelman will also make their directional debut. Scream 3 : Patrick Dempsey, Lance Henriksen and Emily Porter have joined the cast of the film which is kept so secretive by director Wes Craven and stars Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Parker Posey. Thomas and the Magic Railroad : Alec Baldwin, Peter Fonda and Mara Wilson will star in Thomas and the Magic Railroad. Baldwin will portray the story's Mr. Conductor, while Wilson will take the lead role of Lily, an 11-year-old girl who leaves the city to visit her grandfather (Fonda) in the countryside. The children's film is the feature film debut of the creator of the original U.K. television series, Britt Allcroft. Marilyn Manson's Holywood : Heavy-metal rocker Marilyn Manson will star in Marilyn Manson's Holywood. Manson will also make the soundtrack. Happy Accidents : Marisa Tomei and Vincent D'Onofrio will star in Happy Accidents. Brad Anderson (Next Stop Wonderland) will direct the film which Tomei stars as a directory-assistance operator who thinks she's found the perfect match (D'Onofrio), but gradually learns that her new love may not be all that he appears to be. A Perfect Storm : John C. Reilly (Boogie Nights) will star in A Perfect Storm which stars George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg. He will play an experienced fisherman who joins the other two in the ill-fated voyage of the Andrea Gail. The film will be directed by Wolfgang Petersen, is based on the bestselling nonfiction account by Sebastian Junger. The Crew : Jennifer Tilly signed to star with Richard Dreyfuss and Burt Reynolds in The Crew. Michael Dinner will direct the pic which follows four retired mafiosos in their 60s who stage a murder and use the corpse to discourage yuppies from moving into their Miami neighborhood. The plan backfires when the dead man's son, a drug lord, mistakenly targets them. Tilly plays Ferris, a conniving stripper who is looking to hire someone to bump off her stepmother. Carrie Anne Moss, Seymour Cassel, Dan Hedaya and Jeremy Piven also star in the pic. Christian Slater : He will marry Ryan Haddon, with whom he had a child in April. The actor will wed in Valentine's Day next year. How to Kill Your Neighbor's Dog : Kenneth Branagh and Robin Wright Penn have signed to star in How to Kill Your Neighbor's Dog. In the indie comedy Branagh will play an acclaimed L.A.-based playwright who has fallen on hard times. When his plight is worsened by his lack of sleep due to his neighbor's barking dog, the scribe befriends an equally distressed 8-year-old neighbor, and things turn around for both of them. Wright Penn will play his wife. Michael Kalesniko (Private Parts) is the writer and director. The shooting for the sub-$10 million picture will begin next month in Los Angeles. Liberace : Johnny Depp's considering playing Libarace, the flamboyant-but-closeted pianist. Time reports his agent confirmed that Depp has read the script. Libarace was a man who kept his homosexuality a secret. He died in 1987 of AIDS. In the 1950s, the piano player gained national fame with his self-titled television show. Star Wars Episode 2 : There are rumors of Gabriel Bryne starring in Star Wars Episode 2. It is reported that when asked about the matter on Irish Radio show he said "Yes. I have had talks about Star Wars 2 but nothing is clear yet." Bryne's publicist told the reporters "Never heard of that". The Cell : After the addition of Marianne Jean-Baptiste now Vince Vaughn is final talks to star opposite Jennifer Lopez in The Cell. Vaughn plays the FBI agent tracking the case. Bruiser : George Romero (Return Of The Living Dead) starts shooting his new movie Bruiser this week. The cast includes Jason Flemyng (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Peter Stormare (Eight Millimeter), Leslie Hope and Nina Garbiras . The script is by Romero and shotting will begin in Toronto. The movie centers on a successful writer (Flemying) who wakes one morning to find his face is gone. With his new anonymity, he sets out to exact revenge against his overbearing boss (Stormare), his duplicitous friend (Andrew Tarbet) and his cheating wife (Garbiras). Intern : Dominique Swain will star in Intern. The movie also stars Kathy Griffin (Suddenly Susan), Paulina Porizkova (Wedding Bell Blues), Peggy Lipton ,Benjamin Pullen and Joan Rivers. Swain plays an underappreciated intern at an ultrahip fashion magazine who endures model tantrums, lecherous photographers and bulimic editors while seeking true love and a paid position. Death Race 3000 : Tom Cruise will star in Death Race 3000 to be directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The movie is a remake of Roger Corman's Death Race 2000. The original 1975 cult movie starred Sylvester Stallone and David Carradine. It is the story of race car drivers who acquire points by running down pedestrians. The script will be written by J.F. Lawton (Pretty Woman, Chain Reaction). The Pancho Gonzales Story : Julia Roberts" Shoelace Prods. and Kip Konwiser of New Urban Entertainment will make a biopic of tennis legend Pancho Gonzales for HBO. Jimmy Santiago Baca (Bound by Honor) will write the script which centers the life of Ricardo Alonzo Gonzales, a self-taught tennis player from an impoverished background who won U.S. Open singles titles in 1948 and '49 and doubles at Wimbledon and the French Open in 1949.
