The Mexican : David Fincher (Se7en)is in preliminary talks to reteam with Brad Pitt on the indie movie The Mexican. The film will be an action-comedy that centers on a mobster who travels south of the border to hunt down an ancient pistol with a curse on it. Kevin Reynolds (Waterworld) had been in talks but hr dropped out.

Best Dressed, Worst Dressed : According to People magazine's annual survey Adam Sandler is the worst dressed male celebrity. The other men in that list are David Arquette, Val Kilmer and Nick Nolte. On the women side, Madonna, Mariah Carey and Shania Twain are at the top of the worst dressed women. Gwyneth Paltrow is selected the best dressed women. Following her came Catherine Zeta Jones and Julia Roberts. Among men are Will Smith, Brad Pitt and Ricky Martin are on top of the list.

Beatles movie : Jared Harris, the son of actor Richard Harris, is 98 percent sure to star as John Lennon in the upcoming movie about the Beatles. No other information is yet available.

Antonio BanderasCrazy in Alabama : Antonio Banderas made his directorial debut on yesterday at the Venice film festival with Crazy in Alabama. The story, starring his wife Melanie Griffith as an abused southern belle housewife who murders her husband and hightails it to Hollywood to become a star, is engaging, with witty one-liners and a hilarious cameo by actor Rod Steiger. "I felt the need to take the reins of the horse myself,'' he said of his leap behind the lens after 52 films as an actor. "When you go onto the set and start questioning the director, that's the time for you to take the risk and do it yourself.''

Around the World in 80 Days : Director Stephen Herek (Mr. Holland's Opus) is in taks with Twentieth Century Fox to direct a remake of Jules Verne's Around the World in 80 Days. Warner Bros also has a project based on the same source material which stars Brendan Fraser for director Stephen Sommers. While Warner Bros. has not yet developed a script, Fox already has one from Mark D. Rosenthal and Larry Konner (Mercury Rising). If Herek signs, Fox will begin casting immediately. The original 1956 picture, starring David Niven and Shirley MacLaine, won five Oscars, including best picture.

Madison : Jim Caviezel (The Thin Red Line) will star in indie movie Madison. The other cast includes Bruce Dern, Brent Briscoe and Mary McCormack. The movie tells the true story of a small industrial town, Madison, which by chance has the opportunity to host the World Cup boat racing championship in 1971 and wins. The movie will be in the vein of Rocky and Hoosiers.

F1 : Some new rumors have emerged about the new racing movie which Sylvester Stallone is preparing for. Things are definitely moving forward fast enough that it could start shooting as early as Spring. In the movie Stallone will play a retired driver who returns to the track one more time.

Sylvester Stallone - Rocky Rocky 6 : According to the Popcorn website, in an interview Sylvester Stallone talked of Rocky’s new motivations, saying, "Now, his drive is completely spiritual, to sacrifice to give other people a chance. He's going to go back in the ring because he needs the money to build this community center for these young boys he looks after… He's doing it because he knows we need to build these institutions for the young, as safe havens, as launching pads. Adrian will accuse him of a martyr complex and male menopause." Stallone also revealed that the recent defiances of age by boxer George Foreman and astronaut John Glenn inspired the him to re-ignite the Rocky franchise.

King Swann : Michael Caine will play an English gangster of classic proportions in King Swann which is an independent drama loosely based on William Shakespeare's King Lear. John Irvin will direct the movie. Caine also said that he expected to take a part in the upcoming Get Carter remake, which will star Sylvester Stallone in the lead role. Caine played Jack Carter in the 1971 original. Cain 'is now at Venice promoting his latest film The Cider House Rules.

The Prime Gig : Vince Vaughn (Psycho) and Ed Harris will team up in The Prime Gig, a drama about the world of hotshot telemarketers. Tony Award-winning director Gregory Mosher (Hurlyburly) will direct from Bill Wheeler's script.

Rugrats in Paris -- The Movie : Susan Sarandon, John Lithgow and Debbie Reynolds are lending their voices to Rugrats in Paris -- The Movie. The movie will be the follow-up to 1998's The Rugrats Movie. The movie continues the story of baby Chuckie and his dad Chas. This time, Chas starts dating again, and it's Chuckie's wish to find a new mom.

Sebastian's Love : William Hurt will star opposite Lena Olin in Sebastian's Love for director Lasse Hallstrom (The Cider House Rules). The film will be a loose adaptation of the 1992 Vita Andersen novel and it's about how a mother-son relationship changes when a new man enters her life.

Sean PennThe Assassination of Richard Nixon : Sean Penn is in talks to star in The Assassination of Richard Nixon. The movie will be directed Niels Mueller who also wrote the story with Kevin Kenedy, based on the true story of would-be assassin Samuel Byck, a bumbling furniture salesman who concluded that President Nixon, as the figurehead for capitalism, was responsible for his troubles.

In the Cut : Nicole Kidman and director Jane Champion (Holy Smoke) are planning to re-team on the erotic thriller In the Cut. The film will be an adaptation of Susanna Moore's 1995 novel is being targeted for a fall 2000 start date. The story involves a New York University professor who, after a young woman is murdered in her New York neighborhood, launches into a dangerous affair with a detective. Kidman will make her feature producing debut. The two worked in The Portrait of a Lady before.

Tennessee : Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Michael Bay will reuniteon a big-budget drama set around the Pearl Harbor bombing. Director Michael Bay said "You will see what happened at Pearl Harbor like you have never seen it in any other movie". Screenwriter Randall Wallace, who won an Oscar for Braveheart,will write the script. No stars have been signed, but Bay said he's after Oscar winners Gene Hackman to play President Franklin Roosevelt and Gwyneth Paltrow for the romantic lead of a Navy nurse.

Steven SpielbergArtificial Intelligence : The Sunday Times and Variety reports that Steven Spielberg might take over direction of Stanley Kubrick's last unfinished film project named Artificial Intelligence. He and Spielberg had been close friends. "We were on the phone for 18 years," Spielberg said. Now Warner Brothers and Kubrick's family look set to approve handing the project over to Spielberg. 'AI' is the tale of a young "robot" boy. Kubrick's brother-in-law Jan Harlan said Spielberg was the ideal director: "He would bring out both the human and philosophical side of the story."

Weekend Box Office :The Sixth Sense became the first film since Titanic to remain number one at the box office for five consecutive weekends. It also stands as only the second movie in history to score five straight $20M+ weekends, the other being Titanic again.

Robert De NiroMeet the Parents : Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller will star in the comedy film Meet the Parents. The movie is about a young man whose first meeting with his future father-in-law (De Niro) goes from bad to worse. Jay Roach (Austin Powers) is set to direct. The film is a remake of a 75-minute independent film from 1992. The shooting begins in January.

Minority Report : According to Hollywood Reporter,Cate Blanchett may co-star with Tom Cruise in Steven Spielberg's sci-fi thriller Minority Report. Also Matt Damon is in talks to star as Cruise's brother. No other is information is yet available.

Lost Souls : The Official Site of the Winona Ryder-Ben Chaplin movie Lost Souls had released the trailer for the upcoming movie. The film is a supernatural thriller.
