 Meg RyanProof of Life : Meg Ryan will get $15 million to star in Proof of Life. The story follows a male negotiator who flies to Colombia to negotiate the release of a captured US corporae executive, but in the process falls for his wife. (Ryan). The male lead is offered to Harrison Ford.

Blow : Ted Demme will direct the movie Blow. The movie is based on a true story and is about a small-town American hustler, now serving a long prison stretch, who became a big cocaine trafficker in the early '70s. Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz will star in the picture and the screenplay is written by Nick Cassevetes.

Dancing at the Blue Iguana : Jennifer Tilly, Daryl Hannah and Elias Koteas (The Thin Red Line) have agreed to star in Dancing at the Blue Iguana. The film will be written and directed by Michael Radford. (Il Postino) and it centers around a strip joint.

Sean ConneryEnd Game : Sean Connery will star in the post-Cold War thriller End Game. He will play a by-the-book, old-fashioned CIA agent who goes on a special undercover assignment to expose illegal arms dealing, but discovers that he's actually a pawn in a large-scale setup. The old-school spook must team up with a new-school counterpart to prove his innocence. The Mandalay Pictures is still in search of a director and co-stars, and the company hopes to put the film in production early next year.

Till the End of Time : Linda Fiorentino and Ben Kingsley are in negotiations to star in a drama of painter Georgia O'Keeffe's life named Till the End of Time. The film, focuses on the passionate and stormy relationship between O'Keeffe (Fiorentino) and Alfred Steiglitz (Kingsley) and is set to begin shooting in November in the U.S and Munich. Marek Kanievska (Less Than Zero) will direct the movie.

Pierce BrosnanQuadrille : Madonna will star in an adaptation of the Noel Coward play Quadrille. The film is a about revenge plans gone awry and it concerns a philandering English aristocrat elopes to the south of France with the young wife of an American industrialist.

Pierce Brosnan Weds : Pierce Brosnan will marry longtime girlfriend Keely Shaye Smith. She is the mother of the actor's 2-year-old son. The couple, who have not set a wedding date, live in Malibu with their son, Dylan Thomas, and Brosnan's teenage son Sean. . Brosnan's first wife, Cassandra Harris, died in 1991 of ovarian cancer.

Carrie Anne Moss - TrinityThe Matrix 2 : From Coming Attractions, a scoop they scored suggested that the Wachowski brothers have discussed a car chase sequence in the second Matrix film that promises to "rejuvenate" this form of action scene. As the story goes, Neo is being chased by a group of Agents, racing down city streets to try and lose his pursuers...except the Agents are jumping into different drivers' bodies during the chase sequence.

Titanic Video for Blind : Titanic made yet another splash debut Tuesday, this time as a home video enhanced for the blind with narrative description supplied by the director himself, James Cameron. Cameron joins actress Angie Dickinson in describing the film's action, scenery, costumes and even facial expressions through a process called TheatreVision. The narrative is dubbed in with the film's soundtrack to enable the blind to "see" details they otherwise would miss in the absence of dialogue.

Beverly Hills Cop 4 : Entertainment Weekly reports that screenwriter John Ridley is attached to write a fourth Beverly Hills Cop film which is about a retired Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) who returns to duty to stop bad guys in Monte Carlo.

BatmanKeanu Reeves talks Batman : While talking to the TV Times movie magazine Keanu Reeves was asked how he would approach the title role in a possible Batman 5. Reeves answered, "It'll have to be dark, very sombre. Something that'll make people think twice about whether they're actually watching a Batman film or not." Reeves also added that ""I would have to insist, and I mean most strenuously, that any Batman film I'm involved in would have to have The Joker in it- absolutely. He's the archetypal bad guy, the Bat-nemesis. He's the dude with whom the Bat must battle- he's in the film, or I'm not! And Jack Nicholson has to do it again - definitely."

How to Kill Your Neighbor's Dog : According Hollywood Reporter, Lynn Redgrave, Oscar-nominated this year for her supporting role in Gods and Monsters, will play opposite Kenneth Branagh and Robin Wright Penn in the indie film How to Kill Your Neighbor's Dog. Branagh plays an acclaimed L.A.-based playwright who has fallen on hard times. Wright Penn plays his wife, the stable force in his life. Redgrave will play Wright Penn's mother. The shooting begins in a week in Vancouver.

State and Maine : Philip Seymour Hoffman has joined the cast of the David Mamet-directed movie State and Maine. The other cast includes Alec Baldwin, William H. Macy and Sarah Jessica Parker. The movie is about a film shooting in a sleepy New England town.

Librium : Jan De Bont has signed a deal to produce Librium, a futuristic sci-fi thriller written by Kurt Wimmer (The Thomas Crown Affair). Wimmer will direct the film, which will tell the story of the spiritual conversion of agent John Preston, who is the legal enforcer of an oppressive system in which human emotion is forbidden and suppressed by a required daily dose of Librium.

Then She Found Me : Tony Goldwyn is set to direct Then She Found Me, which stars Helen Hunt. The movie is based on Elinor Lipman's book,and centers on a talk show host who bullies her way into the life of a daughter she gave up for adoption years before. The shooting is expected to begin in January.

Weekend Box Office : Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd thriller Double Jeopardy remained atop the box office this weekend. While the new George Clooney movie Three Kings came close with $16.2 million. Kevin Spacey starrer American Beauty came third and Martin Lawrence comedy Blue Streak came fourth.

Arnold Schwarzenegger : Arnold Schwarzenegger, who told Talk magazine that he is considering a run for the governorship of California in 2002. Schwarzenegger said " I think about it many times . . . The possibility is there because I feel it inside. I feel there are a lot of people standing still and not doing enough. And there's a vacuum."
