Arnold Scwarzenegger - TerminatorTerminator 3&4 : Producers Mario Kassar and Andy Vajna will develop the third and fourth installments of the Terminator series simultaneously. They intend to film Terminator 3 next year for release in 2001 and prepare the fourth shortly thereafter. Production will go ahead even if Arnold Schwarzenegger does not return. "I'd love for Arnold to be in it, but we're not at that point yet,'' Kassar said. Terminator 3 will be written by Tedi Sarafian, who wrote the MGM film Metalheads while Terminator 4 will be written by David Wilson,

There will be a war in the third film, which will be set in the present day, 2001. The fourth movie is going to be set in the future, after the nuclear conflagration has ended. John Connor will be the lead in both of those movies, which follow and expend his character. There will be a protector Terminator, and an antagonist machine. Kassar also said "I don't know if you can ever equal the first two films, because James Cameron is a genius, but we're going to do our best, use the best special- effects houses, and really surprise people with the creative stories that are great and have the twists and turns the audience expects''.

Trust Me : Jennifer Love Hewitt is in negotiations to play a rookie FBI agent in Trust Me. The story is about an undercover FBI agent-trainee who gets kidnapped by a mob contract killer. The kidnapper falls for Hewitt's character and releases her -- only to find that it's he who now has the price on his head for the transgression of mob ethics.'

Hanging Up : The trailer for the Meg Ryan, Lisa Kudrow and Diane Keaton starrer family drama has been released. The movie will be released on February 11th.

Jar Jar BinksStar Wars : Lucasfilm has officially announced that Jar Jar Binks will be back in Star Wars: Episode Two. The official Star Wars website reports taht "While George Lucas is still working on the script for the next film, and the start of general casting is still several months away, several actors are already clearing their schedules to be available for filming in Australia and on location next summer. Among them, we’re happy to confirm, is Ahmed Best as Jar Jar Binks, who will be rejoining Ewan McGregor (playing Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Natalie Portman (as Queen Amidala) for Star Wars: Episode II."

River Road : New Line has made a deal with Andrew Niccol worth about $3 million for writing and directing River Road. Danny DeVito's Jersey Films will produce the movie. The film centers around a man yearning to escape his surroundings — in this case, a fictitious border town. Striving for a better life, the man takes residence in the town with the ultimate goal of crossing that border to the other side — a plan he undertakes mainly because he’s told he cannot. Once he gets to know the locals, however, they have as much an effect on him as he does on them, and both are permanently changed.

Batman 5 : In a national online chat, The Matrix directors (The Wachowski Brothers) revealed that they were approached by Warner Bros. in hopes that they could provide a dark nature as directors to the Batman film. Due to their time commitments on the next two Matrix sequels however, they has to pass.

Sandra BullockWildest Dreams : Sandra Bullock will star in Wildest Dreams which Bullock's Fortis Films attached to produce. Bullock may star as a woman whose new husband dies in an accident. Two years later, she's emotionally closed off, until a series of dreams show her a mysterious man who can help her rise above her grief.

The Sum of All Fears : Paul Attanasio (Donnie Brasco) is hired by producer Mace Neufeld to rewrite Akiva Goldsman's script of The Sum of All Fears which Harrison Ford will play the role of Jack Ryan again. Ford will first finish What Lies Beneath for Robert Zemeckis in December. Phillip Noyce (Clear and Present Danger, Patriot Games), may direct the pic.

Gone in 60 Seconds : Nicolas Cage starrer film's official site is opened. The pic also stars Giovanni Ribisi, Robert Duvall, Angelina Jolie, Will Patton, James Duval and Scott Caan. Dominc Sena (Kalifornia) will direct the pic which is about a car thief (Cage) who agrees to lead his gang one last time before they retire to take on the challenge of stealing fifty cars in a single night to save his brother's life (Ribisi) from the mob. The problem is that another gang is aiming for the same thing, and the police are after them too.

Felicia's Journey : Official Site has released a trailer for director Atom Egoyan's (The Sweet Hereafter, Exotica) latest film which stars Bob Hoskins, Elaine Cassidy (Felicia), Claire Benedict, Peter McDonald, Brid Brennan and Sidney Cole. The pic is about a poor pregnant Irish girl (Cassidy) who travels to England in search of the father (McDonald) of her child, but finds a man (Hoskins) instead with a history of helping homeless girls.

Lambs sequelHannibal : sequel to Silence of the Lambs : Jodie Foster, officially will not star in Hannibal, sequel to Silence of the Lambs. The actress said to December issue of W magazine that "I stand to make more money doing that sequel than I've ever made in my life," "But who cares, if it betrays Clarice, who is a person, in some strange way, to me." First director Jonathan Demme, passed on Hannibal. Foster will direct her third film, Flora Plum, which is set in the 1930s and will star Claire Danes as a penniless waif who's taken in by a circus freak. Shooting is set to begin in January.

Hearts in Atlantis : Hearts in Atlantis, latest Stephen King novel has been acquired for the screen by Castle Rock. Atlantis marking the seventh time Castle Rock has brought a King novel to the screen. (Stand By Me, Misery, Needful Things, The Shawshank Redemption, Dolores Claiborne, The Green Mile. William Goldman (Misery) will write the screenplay of Atlantis, which is written before King's near-fatal car accident earlier this year and contains five interlocking stories sharing the theme of the Vietnam War.

Big Momma's House : Paul Giamatti (Saving Private Ryan) will star with Martin Lawrence and Nia Long in Big Momma's House,which is set to begin filming in mid-January. The production was delayed because of Lawrence collapsed with heatstroke last August and was hospitalized with a coma for three days. Raja Gosnell (Never Been Kissed) will direct the film which Lawrence will play a cop who conceals his identity by disguising as a Southern grandmother; Giamatti plays his best friend and fellow cop.

End of Days : Arnold Schwarzenegger will appear on a special episode of UPN's Thursday-night WWF SmackDown!, according to a World Wrestling Federation spokesperson. Schwarzenegger will actually step into the ring during the Nov. 11 airing of the popular series, but he won't be trying to put anyone in a hammerlock. The appearance is simply an opportunityto promote the Thanksgiving weekend release of his latest movie End of Days.

The Bone CollectorWeekend Box Office : The Bone Collector easily became No:1 at the weekend by taking $17.2 million. The Bachelor was second while The House On The Haunted Hill was third. The Insider got the fourth spot and Ashley Judd starrer Double Jeopardy came fifth.

The Million Dollar Hotel : The Million Dollar Hotel has been selected to open the 50th anniversary edition of the Berlin International Film Festival on Feb. 9. The film, which stars Mel Gibson, Milla Jovovich and Jeremy Davies (Saving Private Ryan), is based on a story by U2 lead singer Bono. Pic is set in Los Angeles in 2001 and stars Gibson as a federal agent who investigates the death of a billionaire at a seedy hotel. The screenplay is by Nicholas Klein and the film features music by U2. Pic is directed by Wim Wenders and will make its world premiere at the festival.

Batman 5Batman 5 : Batman & Robin released two years ago and now Warner Bros. is discussing for the fifth installment of the Batman . Although no scripts have been yet, there are two possibilities for the story . One called Batman Year One and would be based on the four-issue comic book miniseries that chronicles Bruce Wayne from college grad to his Batman transformation to his first mission as a superhero. And the second Batman Beyond, finds an elderly Bruce Wayne, retired from his role, passing his high-tech suit to Terry McGinnis, a high school teen who discovers the millionaire's secret identity and dons cape and cowl, creating a new hero for Gotham City. 

Metal God : Jennifer Aniston (Office Space) is in talks to star opposite Mark Wahlberg in Metal God. Pic based on the true tale of an office supplies salesman who played in a Judas Priest cover band before joining Judas Priest itself. Stephen Herek (Mr. Holland's Opus) will direct the pic which is slated to begin production early next year.

The End of the Affair : The film which stars Ralph Fiennes, Julianne Moore, Stephen Rea and Ian Hart, is directed by Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, In Dreams). A novelist Maurice Bendrix (Fiennes) living in London during World War II hires a private investigator to investigate why his ex-mistress Sarah (Moore), who was also the wife of a friend (Rea), broke off their affair.

Seven and a Match : Heather Donahue (The Blair Witch Project) will star in indie comedy-drama Seven and a Match. The cast also includes Adam Scott (Party of Five), Tina Holmes (Edge of Seventeen) and Eion Bailey (Fight Club). Writer Derek Simonds will make his directing debut. Shooting is set to begin Monday on Fisher's Island in New York. The pic centers on seven friends who return to a vacation house where they spent the summer after graduation from college four years earlier. The bank is threatening to foreclose on the house, which one of the group inherited from her recently deceased parents. Now broke, she proposes that they burn it down to collect the insurance money.
