Elizabeth HurleyBedazzled : Elizabeth Hurley and Frances O'Connor have agreed to star opposite Brendan Fraser in the remake of the 1967 Faustian comedy Bedazzled for director Harold Ramis. The film is about a low-level software company employee, (Frazer) who the devil saves from suicide and then tempts with an offer of seven wishes in exchange for his soul. Shooting is slated to begin Jan. 24 in Los Angeles.

Holy Smoke! : The trailer for the upcoming Jane Campion movie Holy Smoke! is now available. The film stars Harvey Keitel, Kate Winslet, Pam Grier and Julie Hamilton.

The Blair Witch ProjectThe Blair Witch Project 2 : According to Hollywood Reporter documentary filmmaker Joe Berlinger, will make his feature film directorial debut with the sequel to The Blair Witch Project. Casting is under way, with production scheduled to begin in about six week sand scheduled for a fall release,the film will be executive produced the original's filmmakers, Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sanchez. In addition, Myrick and Sanchez have committed to jointly helm Blair Witch 3, a third installment that will serve as a prequel. The third movie is scheduled to begin production after they finish the comedy feature Heat of Love which is slated to start shooting this spring.

Spielberg-Hanks-Freeman : The Broadcast Film Critics Assn. named Steven Spielberg the filmmaker of the decade. Spielberg's Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan were among the top 10 films made during the 1990s. Also Tom Hanks and Morgan Freeman are named as the decade's most prominent leading men, with both actor having 2 films in the top ten. Schindler's List was ranked as the No. 1 film; the other titles in the top 10 were Saving Private Ryan (No. 2), Curtis Hanson's L.A. Confidential (No. 3), Forrest Gump (No. 4), Martin Scorsese's GoodFellas (No. 5), Joel and Ethan Coen's Fargo (No. 6), Jonathan Demme's The Silence of the Lambs (No. 7), Frank Darabont's The Shawshank Redemption (No. 8) Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction (No. 9) and Unforgiven (No. 10).

Keanu ReevesThe Gift : Keanu Reeves will play the supporting role in a low-budget drama to be directed by Sam Raimi. The other cast includes Giovanni Ribisi, Cate Blanchett and Katie Holmes. The movie concerns a clairvoyant woman from a small Southern town who becomes enmeshed in a murder investigation. Reeves will play a redneck who becomes the prime suspect in that murder and who threatens the psychic's life after she counsels his battered wife. The budget will be under $10 million.

Life is Beautiful : Roberto Benigni's Oscar-winning Life Is Beautiful has become the most successful Italian film ever, after beating the $43 million global box office of Bernardo Bertolucci's 1972 movie Last Tango in Paris. Benigni's movie took $45 million worldwide. The third biggest Italian earner of all time was Il Ciclone which is directed by Leonardo Pieraccioni and made $39 million despite failing to find release outside Italy.

Tom HanksWeekend Box Office : Stuart Little took $16 million and came first through the weekend. Tom Hanks starrer The Green Mile still strong after four weeks came second while Any Given Sunday, Toy Story 2 and The Talented Mr. Ripley close behind.
