Well, Fairuza Balks is the first woman to step up to the plate here in the Wish-List. Let's see how she fares ;)
In this list predominantly dominated by men, you might wonder why I've chosen her out of all the other actresses out there.
Well this is all I'm gonna say. Just look at her! I mean, have you EVER seen anything on the screen that looks even remotely like that!? Yahhhh.. run for your life! It's the jaws of death!!!..hehehe...!
I mean, I knew I said Robert Blake was a pile driving actor, but this girl just trying to smile is enough to give you the heebie-jeebies for a month! Christ!
Anyway, that's factor numero uno in why John Carpenter outta grab this gal for his next film. Her physical prescence ALONE is worth the price of admission. Her animal magnetism & raw energy is absolutely undeniable. Whatever she lacks in acting she makes up, by just being there. Here's a suitable quote I found about her that I thought was well expressed..
And besides, Carpenter has always, well usually, cast women who were not necessarily of the norm. I mean, don't get me wrong, Adrienne Barbeau, Jamie Lee Curtis, Karen Allen, among others are all lovely. But they are also not of the norm, you could almost argue a couple of them appear to be almost masculine (!) in their beauty. Fairuza is at the way, far edge and overboard spectrum, of this masculinity.
She is most definitely a female, but in her acting she can be seen going back and forth between the 2 sexes. And come on, most of the time, the most unusual of actresses usually ends up coming across as the most womanly, sensual and well, whatever women are..I still haven't figured them out.
