My daughter was born on May 14, 1998. We named her Kiara. Which is Irish for small and dark. We wanted to name her Kieran but everyone pronounced it Karen so we took off the n and got Kiara. We thought we were alone in this name until Simba's Pride came o t. Now everyone will name their daughter Kiara and people will think we got the name from the video. This really gets me upset. I wonder if I could sue Walt Disney for breach of name. I wanted my child to have a unique name, now she is just one of the crowd.

Christian responds: A lot of people that named their daughter Kiara were very happy to have Disney make the name famous. Actually, we've known for quite some time before May 14, 1998, that the character's name was Kiara. Hope it actually ends up being good thing for her.

This site really has gotten better than the last time I saw it. I've been meaning to ask something, what's up with Zira's ear? In one scene the notch is on her right side then in the other it is on the left. I guess it was a fluke or something the Disney people thought of. By the way, Kiara is really adorable as a cub and is still beautiful like her mother as an adult.

This is my favorite site. The graphics are excellent, especially the pictures from the movie. I haven't even seen graphics from the movie that are as good as yours yet! I think that Kiara is a great Simba's Pride character to dedicate a web site to. Ever since I saw the movie she has been one of my top favorites. I love her personality. KIARA RULES!

Hi chris and kiara! Well yesterday was a day i won't forget, kent melton the disney sculptor was in holland and gave demonstration how the make sculptures for the animators. It was great!A nd gues what? He's the guy who designed the tlk characters for wha they look today! I almost went crazy, when i bought this handcrafted handpainted model of simba he put his signature on it because he liked tlk so and of course he designed the model! He didn't work on sp because he was too busy with "tarzan" and "atlantis" but he really loved sp! And for all those millions of tlkfans there is great news! Kent told me he is making a scene of kiara presentation at the end of tlk! it exist out of 8 big handcrafted handpainted models! Kent says it will be one off his biggest work so far! And to tell the truth, i know his work it should be the most fantastic thing that will hit us ever since tlk and sp!!!! It should arrive in 1999, w en i went home i found out that the sp soundtrack had arrived! I love it!!!!!!!!
