I think your page is great. When does the movie come out? Also, I own a chapter book of The Lion King and at the end they say Simba and Nala had a son, but in the new movie it is a daughter named Kiara. And at the end of TLK, the cub is more of a golden color than a tan color, where as in the new movie, Kiara is more of a tanish color like her mother. Also, at the end of TLK, the cub has a little hair on the top of its head that will develop into a mane later on. So it is very clear that at the end of TLK, Simba & Nala had a son, but now they have a daughter. This makes no sense at all! I mean, look at that picture in your picture archive and you'll see that the cub in the first picture looks exactly like a little Simba! Anway, I love your page and I can't wait to see what you'll have when more info comes out.

Christian responds: The video is set for release on October 27, 1998 and can be pre-ordered now through the Disney catalog or pre-ordered at a video store near you starting Aug. 4. Yeah, I know what you mean about the cub at the end of TLK looking a little more male than female but they showed that same scene on the SP trailer apparently intending to portray the cub as Kiara. My guess is that Disney changed their mind about what gender Simba and Nala's cub should be but were hoping no one would notice the difference.

My final thoughts [written for rumormill and mostly applies with others]: It is told that Scar have had a pride during the "dark ages" as "king." Scar's pride might have been forged out of those lions loyal to any king of Pride Rock or share his same views about lions and hyenas coming together in a great and glorious future. During his reign, he might have found a mate who is to be Zira and had [a] cub[s]. When Simba defeated Scar, as someone had said in earlier entries below, Scar's pride ran off out of the pride lands and came back either by the sympathy of Simba or something else. Kiara and Kovu met. The two cubs lack the knowledge that they might be related. Kovu can definitely be Scar's son but I didn't see any lioness with similar characteristics as Kuvo or Scar. Simba and Scar are brothers *DUH!*, if Kovu is Scar's son and if Kiara and Kovu got together, then they would be cousins. I doubt that Kovu is Scar's son for many reasons, there's inbreeding and Disney wouldn't have done that. There are reasons that Kovu can be Scar's son. Like a pride, there's a pack of wolves. If two wolves mate, they would have gray wolves and possibly one or two black wolves, but the two parents are gray. That takes care of the characteristics. During LK, there is no middle story of Pride Rock and what happened during the reign of Scar. Anything could have transpired. By the previews of May 10th, we don't know if Kiara and Kovu are in love with each other, maybe they're just friends or even cousins to the end of the movie, maybe that's why Disney allowed Kovu to be Scar's son. As for Nuka, forget Nuka, he's mental and power-crazy. There's no tangible evidence of being Scar's son...yet. For Sarabi, she is old and her time could be up, but I doubt it. As for girlfriends for the rest of the smaller characters, there is no connection between the girlfriends and the smaller characters. If Timon and Pumbaa do get girlfriends, that would defy their motto. They did support Hakuna Matata when Adult Simba and Nala fell in love. Timon didn't like it. However, everything relates to everything else, how do the girlfriends relate to the main plot? It is true that Simba does look different in SP, and so does Sarabi at the end of TLK. Disney probably emphasize age or some of the artists probably evolved the characters. To evolve the characters is to gradually alter the character's image through time without the artist knowing it. Artists tried to keep the original image but it evolved into something new like different ears or different body shapes. They kept it because it might of looked better or maybe it made the final cut before they could redo it. Though, if people do ask about it, Disney might find ways to cover it up like age. Look at what happened in All Dogs Go to Heaven II, it's messed up beyond comprehension. This is true to me because I've been a victim of evolution of my own characters I am a "New-Artist." People in this page are loyal to TLK and SP and took up a motto of We Are One. I don't think we are one because of all the competition of better websites. Threats of e-mails and even "I'll break your neck." And people wonder why I don't have an e-mail address or even a website typpen down. If you want my opinion, I enjoy the websites where they actually respond to guestbook entries. I must admit, all of you did a great job in keeping TLK alive and did a superb job in making your webstes. And that's my final thoughts and my opinions. This might be my last entry before I go to research Balto, so continue this little controversy. I'm continuing my journey back to the Alpha Quadrant. New-Artist coming back from up above transwarp style in the 9th month of the year. ò¿~›
