It ain't easy being green.

Especially Green Ranger. The tale of Our King's beginnings as a Power Ranger is both sad and wonderful. Sad in that he had only just arrived in Angel Grove when Rita Repulsa "recruited" him to be her Evil Green Ranger.

He showed no mercy, almost killing the Power Rangers. They just didn't know how to deal with an evil Ranger -- one of their own. He took advantage of that, and, with his incredible martial arts skills, almost wiped them out. If they hadn't been able to destroy the Sword of Darkness and free Tommy from Rita's spell, who knows what might have happened? Nothing good, we Oliverettes think.

What was wonderful? The friendship, the comradery and the teamwork of the original six Rangers. They were an unbeatable team, always working through weaknesses and problems to become even stronger than before. It was enough to make Rita regret changing Tommy Oliver's life.

So, here is our King, when he was Green. He was wicked, he had a killer laugh, and, after the Rangers broke the spell, Green Ranger always was there for the team -- even when his powers, and hopes, were waning....

Okay...so can ye blame Kimberly for being smitten? *grin*



Then...Rita happened. Guess she liked him too! ;)






He had some tricks the others had never seen!







With him, came a Zord of mighty power...one not seen in over one thousand years....







DRAGONZORD!!!



Green Ranger summoned the mighty DragonZord using the Dragon Dagger.





Eventually, Red Ranger managed to destroy the Sword of Darkness, and Tommy Oliver was free to join the Rangers as the prophesied sixth Ranger. Life was good!







And, our King went through a great deal -- not all of it good. However, in the end, all of his suffering and perseverance paid off.....
