Being one of the top doctors in all of Canada the man named Michael Twoyoungman vowed to cure the cancer that was growing within the body of his beloved wife. In the end the disease proved more powerful that the medical knowledge known to man. Katherine Twoyoungman died from the incurable disease inside her, and both the blow of her death, and the rejection from daughter Elizabeth sent Dr. Michael Twoyoungman in a steep downward spiral. Fleeing the world that robbed him of both his wife and daughter, Michael began the life of a recluse vagabond living in the northern wilds of Canada. Stumbling upon an old shack in the woods Michael came in contact with the spirit of his grandfather. It was then that the crushed man discovered his true heritage as Shaman of his people.
At this time shamans powers were basically revolving around the medicine pouch he carried at his side. Through this pouch he could reach with his hand into countess mystical dimensions to pull out any weapon or too that he imagination could muster. Along with the pouch, Shaman has the power of levitation, and was able to communicate with the northern Sacree gods.

A power from Within

After spending several years acting as Shaman of his people Michael Twoyoungman was reunited with his estranged Daughter Elizabeth. Claiming her heritage as the powerful Talisman Shaman's daughter joined the ranks of Alpha Flight. Not long after their reunion, Shaman failed to save his daughter from being devoured by the insanity within his medicine pouch. Like before he failed in saving one of the people beloved most in the world. Fortunately Talisman was rescued bu a being know as the Beyonder. The result of this latest failure once more destroyed the faith within the soul of Shaman. Setting out on a journey of rediscovery, Michael discarded the Medicine pouch, and proved himself worthy to serve his gods.
Now rather than relying on the Medicine pouch to provide him with his powers, Sham drew on the mystical energies of his ancestors which had found a home in him. Shaman could now cas a wide variety of spells, possessed a lot of mystical "sixth sense" and had the respect of the gods, therefore could implore their aid.

No, this isn't a great new hamburger, but rather the name I use to refer to Shamans latest power transition. After going through a vast period of self discovery, and quiet melancholy shaman once again appeared in the ranks of Alpha Flight during the Infinity War. After his reemergence he was able to make peace with his estranged daughter, once agin feeling complete. Now reclaiming his destiny as guardian of the medicine pouch Shaman basically combined his own Mystical powers with those of the pouch of his ancestors.
