Here is the first original show KITT that was used on world tours, not the MCA display model. Alot of you out there may reconise this one. It toured numerous shopping centres in the States, England, and here in Australia. This replica toured here in 1986 when I was a mere 10 year KR nut. I saw it a couple of times. First at the Royal Melbourne Show in Melbourne were the car was on a ridiculously high stand which made it hard for us 10 year olds to see and no one was allowed inside except when photo supervisors were there. And second at a centre called Westfield Shopping Town in Airport West where I got a much better view in it, not to mention a interior photo plus a 10 minute sit.

This was car was based on Season 1/2 KITT. It wasn't as nice and authentic looking than the Expo KITT. However, is still looked like KITT and the dash was nice and accurate. it still made you think it was a display KITT. This one didn't talk either, they just had a fact tape roll on about the car. The car also made to Sydney's Aramoo Speedway where a few journos and a competition winner gunned the car's V8 for a few laps.

At Westfield Shopping Town in Airport West. I look back at often and laugh, especially at my sister. She thought the car was going to eat her or something since she was THAT scared! :)
