biography

Sandrine was born in England, and she was raised and lived in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Sandrine lives in L.A. now. She is half-French (her mother is a frenchwoman), therefor she can speak French very fluently. Her maternal grandmother spent her adolescence in a Nazi camp, and this became one of Sandrine's first short stories scripts. Sandrine's the other background is Chinese. She was a professional model before her film career had started. However, she said that she always wanted to become an artist, a painter to be exact.

Sandrine's famous TV series is Once a Thief, in this action series, she worked with Nicholas Lea, who starred as the FBI special agent Alex Krycek in the X-Files. Sandrine also starred in several more tranquil movies, such as Rapa Nui, and Black Robe.

In 1991, she got the Genie Awards’ nomination (it is a Canadian movie award, as Oscar in USA) for Best Supporting Actress in her first film Black Robe.
