Kevin Spacey, last seen on the big screen in ``The Negotiator,''
has signed a two-year, first-look production deal with Fine Line
Features. The arthouse movie studio hopes the pact will generate
several films that Spacey will act in, produce and possibly direct.
Spacey
stars in Fine Line's ``Hurlyburly,'' which will be released in New
York and Los Angeles on Christmas Day. ``I am excited to have the
freedom to look at some new projects from all perspectives -- as
a producer, a director and an actor -- and to know that I have an
enthusiastic audience with which to discuss them,'' said Spacey.
The
deal also covers Spacey's Trigger Street Prods. company, which he
launched in 1997. He made his directing debut with ``Albino Alligator''
in 1995 and won a supporting actor Oscar the following year for
``The Usual Suspects.''
