Dune Guy Q & A Forum
The Following are answers to many questions that a lot of you have written in in the past. I am happy to answer any questions you may have about the marvel known as Dune Guy. If there are any questions I can't answer prompty, please be patient, I will do whatever research is necessary to get the answers. This is sometimes as much a learning experience for me as it is for you. :-)
Q. In the 1984 CBS made-for-TV-movie broadcast of "Black Sheep Los Angeles" I could have sworn I spotted Dune Guy as one of the extras in the convienience store. I could be wrong, but... WAS THAT DUNE GUY?
A. In late 1986 I saw that movie for the first time and of course did not notice that small aspect. It wasn't until the early 90's that I would begin my fascination with Dune Guy. So it wasn't again until 1994 that I saw that movie on my Quest to see everything that Dune Guy was involved with. I heard of the made for TV movie from my friend Jake. Dune Guy has done 3 TV Movies:
1.) Black Sheep Los Angeles -- CBS 1984
2.) Megacop -- NBC 1988
3.) Grover's Travels -- NBC 1989
In "Supercop" Dune Guy plays officer Schmendrick who is the partner of Supercop before getting shot by the bad guys in a real tear-jerker of a scene. In Grover's Travels he plays the bumbling but loveable Gene McGavin who provides comic relief for the Grover Family and their journey.
It is a great joy seeing such rare TV movies. The only trouble is that they're really hard to get a hold of. Pretty much, I recommend keeping your eyes and ears open and read your TV Guide thoroughly every week for such events. They are not to be missed. If anyone out there wants copies of these movies I would be happy to make them... all I ask is for the money for postage!
