This is a child chimp costume. This costume was used in the first film, the sequels Beneath and Battle, as well as in the television series. The thing that distinguishes this costume from the other child chimp costumes is that this costume was the outfit worn by Bobby Porter who portrayed the child Cornelius in Battle for the Planet of the Apes. Note the leather strips under the front collar are similar to the strips on the child chimp pajamas.
