Children of the Corn

I'm probably gonna get bitch slapped for this one but I really like this movie. So I love those evil little Amish bastards. Sue me. It's kinda like a pre-Troll 2 in the way that Gatlin is similar to Nilbog...in the fact that they're both ghost towns taken over by an unholy evil. Both equally as cheesy. Well, maybe Troll 2 is a little more under budget...Anyway, I'm from a small town thats been over-run by corn and religion so I can kinda relate in some small and not very related way.

The coolest scene has to be in the beginning where the kids slaughter the old people in the diner. I squeal with delight. I love exaggerated camera angles. This movie isn't half bad concidering it is based on a story by Steven King and has spawned an unholy number of sequals...which just guarentees it a place on TNT's Monstervision. But I have notoriously bad taste and enjoy Steven King. He's like junk food. And so are sequels. Once you pop you can't stop. Still, I maintain that Children of the Corn sequels are far superior to Sometimes They Come Back sequels. Urban Harvest vs. Sometimes They Come Back...For More. You gotta go with the Amish satanists on this one.
