For those of you who have seen and liked Something About Mary and you enjoy Ben Stiller's unique sense of humor, you will probably enjoy this movie. I won't say it's great but it is definitely enjoyable. When you think of silly movies, think of this movie. The humor is less than intelligent, but it's still a fun movie nonetheless.

Ben Stiller plays a male model named Derrick Zoolander who is brainwashed into killing the prime minister of another country by an evil clothing designer played by Will Farrell. Ben's performance, although good, was nothing special. What made this movie worth watching, I think, was the performance by Owen Wilson. He plays a rival model named Hansel. I think that Stiller's performance is lacking because the scenes that he was in without Owen Wilson I didn't find near as funny as those with him in it. I also thought that Ben Stiller's new wife, Christine Taylor, from the Brady Bunch Movie, was not up to par either. She just couldn't hold her own with the other comedic people in the show. I can't really blame her though, her character was poorly written. She just kind of hangs around and makes silly faces as she gets exasperated with the models.

I must also mention that the randomness of the orgy I think missed on the humor it was supposed to supply. Same goes for the conspiracy theory provided by David Duchovny. Although I understand what Stiller was trying to do, I think he just fell a bit short. Will Farrell as well as Ben's father, Jerry, do a decent job, but the writing was not enough for these comedic geniuses. I do think they did the best with what they had.

Watch out for some surprise appearances by a few people.  My favorite being Jon Voight's appearance as Zoolander's father and take a peek and see if you can recognize who's playing his brother.  Once again, I have to say that the movie is funny, but I really only truly liked the scenes with Owen Wilson. Ben has some funny lines but not scenes without him present.  People who are fans of Stiller or very silly movies, you will like this. Otherwise I suggest staying away.
