Roneth the Horseman (Neil Maffin)NEIL MAFFIN (Roneth the Horseman) has worked extensively on Broadway, off-Broadway and regional theatrical productions, and has moved into feature films, appearing in "Pants on Fire" with Eileen Brennan. He received an Emmy Award nomination for his performance in the television presentation of "Tea and Toast." For PBS, he has starred in the American Playhouse productions of "Lethal Innocence" with Brenda Fricker, and "O Pioneers!" with Mary McDonnell, as well as in "Valerie & Michael" and in "Liberty!" Most recently, he starred in the movie-of-the-week "The Promise" for NBC. His other television credits include "The Pretender," "Star Trek: Voyager" and "Class of 96" for FOX. Maffin starred on Broadway with Al Pacino in "Salome" and in "Suddenly Last Summer," both at the Circle in the Square. His off-Broadway credits include "Entertaining Mr. Sloane" with Brian Murray, "Oblivion Postponed" with John Glover, "The Sum of Us" with Tony Goldwyn, as well as "Finding the Sun," "L’Illusion," "Women Beware Women" and "The Caucasian Chalk Circle." His numerous regional theater credits include the Williamstown Theater Company productions of "The Sweet By and By" with Blythe Danner and Gywneth Paltrow, and "Romeo & Juliet," as well as many productions of Shakespeare’s plays, including "Hamlet" with Aidan Quinn at the Wisdom Bridge Theater. He performed with the Hartford Stage Company in "Clean," with the American Repertory Theater in "The Naked Eye," and with the McCarter Theater in "The Game of Love & Chance." Raised in Iowa, Maffin earned his master of fine arts in acting from the University of Wisconsin before moving to New York City where he began his professional career on stage. |
