Monica Gellar
As a kid Monica Gellar was overweight.  She finally lost those extra pounds when she overheard Chandler telling Ross that he didn’t want to get stuck with his “fat sister” during a Thanksgiving dinner. By the next Thanksgiving she had lost slimmed down.

Monica’s parents, mostly her mother, seem to have a favorite. She is not it. No matter what she does she can't seem to please her parents. Even now her mom can't seem to resist pointing out Monica's flaws. They even changed her room into a work out room.

She is a neat freak. Almost to the point of obsession. In one episode she couldn’t sleep because she left her shoes in the middle of the livingroom floor.

She hasn't had much luck in the relationship department (but who hasn't?). She went out with Richard, a guy old enough to be her father (in fact he was one of her father's good friends). She dated Ethan, who was so young sleeping with him was still illegal (Hey, she didn't know his age when they did it.)

She is also one of the most competitive people in the world. Ask Chandler. She broke his tennis racket when he threw a game to make his boss feel better. (I can totally relate, I get a little violent when I lose a game. Hey! Who doesn't?)

Her closest friends include Rachel Green, whom she’s known since high school; Phoebe Buffay, her one time roommate; Ross Gellar, that’s right, her brother; Joey Tribbiani, who lives across the hall; and Chandler Bing, her current boyfriend.

She once worked as a chef at a trendy restaurant, Iridium. She was fired for accepting a gift. She’s had several jobs since then. She was a roller-skating waitress, cooked for her rich boyfriend’s restaurant and worked as a caterer with Pheobe. Recently she was hired as head chef in a restaurant. The crew hated her because she took the place of one of their family members. They made her job a living hell.
