Act I Scene II

Some filler with the King

Dunkin Donuts:

What bloody man comes here, with our reports?

MacAbre :
My liege, it's MacRoss with news, weather and sports

MacRoss :
Extrie, extrie, read all the good parts

MacDavis tops Macdiclarks pop charts

Dunkin Donuts:
Come, Good man tell us what happened this day

MacRoss :
Your son MacAroni was there at the fray

MacAroni :
The kids were crazy as the time was at hand

for another episode of Scottish Bandstand

The Norwegian Clayderman had us pins and needles

for he'd sold more discs than Elvis and the Beatles

Then he sat and started his low mournful tune

But the kids knew MacDavis was coming on soon

so when it was time for the record to rate

Casey mighty Kasem stepped up to the slate

And Jane said to Dick: I'm sure it's a hit

but there's not much of a beat, I can't dance to it

Then out came MacDavis with nary a stumble

and he crooned to them It's Hard to be Humble

That's when I left them before I did see

his record outscore Clayderman's minus three

And in Lifestyles News I can tell thee

That the Prince of Pop married Lisa Marie

MacRoss :
My liege, can this be, this fanciful doodle?

I think that your son may be off his noodle

I can't heed the last of what he said there

Where did he hear of this current affair?

Dunkin Donuts:
These kids today, they make my blood weak

It ires me to hear the language they speak

But if indeed that weird deed was done

What MacMichael has lost MacDavis has won
