      William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet

      (1996)

      Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes; directed by Baz Luhrmann

      Incredibly twisted attempt to film Shakespeare in modern settings;
      falls flat with every line uttered by the inept leads.
      DiCaprio and Danes produce not an ounce of chemistry between them and the
      overall atmosphere, liberally trimmed with drag dancers, is revolting.
      The most remarkable moment of the movie came at the finish when
      a young woman seated behind me conceded to being shocked by the
      "surprise ending".
