Gargoyles Fan Art

This of course will grow as we get more and more pictures scanned. After all, the folder is huge--this is just a small sampling! All art below is by Lex. Original characters are copyrighted to us, as is artwork itself. Disney owns the others. Enjoy!

Clan Enigma

Aquarena of Enigma, shown in mid-flight. Aqua first appeared in An Island Unto.

Austin, in a bad mood. Austin also first appeared in Island.

Cassandra, who was done from a senior portrait of a friend of mine. She too first appeared in An Island Unto.

Tina, who was actually originally done as a portrait. But Tina's too colorful a character to not include in An Island Unto, and she even managed to get in on later stories, too!

Illustrations from Gargrave

The inspiration for Heart of Gold, from The Gargrave Years. Lex's hand, holding a gold necklace.

"Autumn Winds," a picture which seems to belong in Wanderlust of The Journey series.

General Stuff

The mermaid often referred to as "Ariel," in a conceptual (and never used) sketch called "Dive."

Dustin M., who was in Spanish I with me. As you can see, we actually did very little work in the class...

Garrett B., another member of the 'net fandom and a close friend of mine. I did this picture for him on one of his visits.

Yep, it's Tina again, this time as a cheerleader. Yep, she really was a cheerleader. And she made a comment about said activity which then inspired this drawing!

This was done as part of a 2-drawing illustration for a poem here on this site. It's EvilLex from Future Tense attacking Goliath.

This is the pencil version of the above picture, from before it was copied and colored.

This is a very large pencil sketch (scanned in pieces) from drawing class. It's an example of extreme cropping, focusing on young Lex's eye.

Ink Versions of Page Graphics

The plain pen outline of Lex holding the baby gargoyle statue--which is missing since it was taken from a photo!

This is for the sitemap section--it's just a pen outline of Lex with a pointer.

Okay, I know this looks silly here, but he's wearing shades. It's just hard to tell until they're colored in!

Full Versions of Page Graphics

Lex holding the baby garg... looks pretty good for a photo/drawing splice, actually...

Again, Lex with the pointer, this time Photoshop rendered.

And Lex in the sunglasses--this time you can tell that's what they are!
