Well, something new is popping up along many SM webpages, and I'm sure you have all seen it by now. It's cool, yet annoying. It's interviews with other web-site owners. The cool thing:they are interesting to read. Bad thing:repetition. Everyone seems to want to interview the same people, namely people with really popular SM sites, (do they need any more publicity? Not really...) and the SM site reviewers. I know, it's just me being annoyed on a not-so-good day, but I don't care. I'm sick of seeing CereCere from the AQ doing all the interviews. It would be fine if the same questions weren't asked over and over, but they are. If I was interviewing her, I would ask something along the lines of this:
If I nominated a site for the best award, and someone who is a house hold name like Mara K. or Ben also nominated a page, would there nomination have a better chance of winning because of who they are?
-or-
Don't you ever feel bad? You should, you know. Emotions are part of human behavior.
-or even-
Do you feel that by letting people contribute articles to your page, that you are letting other people do your work? Because most of the updates are "New Lemure!". Is it all just a trick? Would I be allowed to submit a Lemure? Because I'm not in the popular web-masters clique... And my page isn't on every link list in the whole world...
Wow, I bet if I asked those questions I wouldn't get very nice responses! ^_^
Here are some suggestions for all you interviewers, but you don't have to follow them. I mean, I'm in no position to tell you what to do!
  • Find some people that haven't been interviewed, people will be more likely to read them.
  • Don't just stick to people with really popular pages, people with not so popular pages are nice and have REALLY good pages too!
  • Don't ask the same boring questions, unless it's "tradition". (Example: Apatt always asks his peoples to list their fave pages, (sadly, they all have similar lists,) and what is their view on images theft. (That's okay, everyones opinion is different and it is a controversial topic.) BTW, Apatt's page is here.)
  • Don't ask questions EVERYBODY knows the answer to. For example, don't ask the M-Squad if they are against SM critics. Think about it... they are part of the group! ^_^
  • I can't think of anymore.. ^^
Here are some places where you can read interviews! (Okay, so there aren't as many as I make it sound...)
Yes, I do like tables! ^_^
