ALL BOUT THA DOGG'Z

The following appears courtesy of MTV.com:

Snoop Dogg was on location in Los Angeles over the past two days, shooting the video for a new single, "B Please," from his recent LP, "Topp Dogg." The clip was lensed by Snoop's mentor and longtime collaborator Dr. Dre, who also produced the original album track.
Nate Dogg and Xzibit, both of whom can be heard on the track, turned up to shoot cameo appearances for the video, which is due to premier sometime in early August. Meanwhile, Snoop has also kept busy with several other projects, including potential collaborations with Insane Clown Posse and Kid Frost.
Snoop is also nominated for Artist of the Year at the Source Hip-Hop Music Awards, scheduled to air on UPN on August 20.

Check out this tight ass unreleased Fatal track called Clock Strikes 12 which features Gangsta Boo. Props out to MJ fo tha hook up!

I heard a rumour that Daz has signed to Rap-A-Lot Records. I don't know if this is true or not, but if it is I think its a good move.

Sway & Tech premiered a new song by Tech N9ne on Rap City a couple of days ago. They were hyping him up saying he wuz gonna blow up the Mid-West. He wuz also featured on Sway & Tech's new cd "This Or That".

OLD MEETS NEW

Apparent ex-Death Row inmate Tre Deuce or 3-2 as he goes by now, appeared on BET a couple of weeks ago. He talked about how he was on the original Death Row roster but never released anything under them. He also said how he and Snoop were cool at that time, but didn't say why he left. Deuce was signed as part of a group called 'The Convicts', which consisted of him and Big Mike. The Convicts had previously released an album on Rap-A-Lot in '91 called 'The Conviction'. Deuce released a solo album in '95 called 'The Wicked Buddah Baby' and more recently appeared on SCC's compilation 'Murder Squad Nationwide'. He now looks to have settled on Rap-A-Lot. I'm still not entirely sure who this is, I'm just telling it like I heard!

Watch out for a new album coming soon called 'Street Lords Platinum: Rolees Don't Tic Toc' Amongst others it will feature, Daz, Too $hort, Spice 1 and The Dramatics.

Tray Dee & Gonzoe aka. Young Ritzy Outlaw are featured on a new album called "D.B.A. - Doin Business As" Gonzoe also appears along with Tech N9ne on a new album by Rogue Dogs called "Its On Now" Look for both of these!

The self-entitled album "Made Men" which came out today features Daz & Kurupt and has production by Daz & Soopafly, who....

... also appear on Too Shorts new album Can't Stay Away on tha track "You Might Get G'eed". Unfortunately Puffy is on this album too.

With still more from Daz, he's also on a new compilation called "Money & Mu$cle" from Million Dollar Dream. Tha track is called "Nitro Runnin" & also features Baldhead Rick & Cougnut. Not forgetting about Kurupt, he recently appeared on a new compilation called 'Well Connected' and on Bookie Loc's new album on a track called "Bloodrush". Finally, Mac Shawn is featured on the 2 One One album "In Progress" on a track called "Boss Flossin". I'm personally lookin' forward to all this shit!

Snoop, Daz, Soopafly, Tray Dee & Kurupt are all featured on tha 'White Boys' movie soundtrack, which Snoop also makes a cameo in. Snoop is on a song with white rapper T-Bo and the DPG'z collaborate on a dope ass track called 'Hell Ya'. It looks like Snoops been busy lately, as he will also be making an appearance on DJ Daryl's Greatest Hits album, which is due out soon.

Rappin-4-tay has a new album dropping soon called "Only God Can Judge Me" on Celeb-Entertainment, also dropping on that label is a double CD by (Kid) Frost "That Was Then, This Is Now. Vol.I & II" which features Kurupt, Baby S & many more.

Snoop & Dre will perform at tha 1st Annual Source Hip-Hop Music Awards airing on Aug 20th on tha UPN Network. Be on tha lookout!

Here's even more on tha Doggfather... it seems he appeared on BET along with D.J. Quik and M.C Eiht last week, discussing future projects together. I didn't get it see it myself but I heard that Snoop talked about his tour and upcoming album 'Snoopafly'. In particular how it was 'for all those sucka's that want to be like and sound like him' I guess this is a dis goin' out to YGD, but I hope he weren't putting' Soopafly down.

Talkin' of Soopafly, his new video for 'Like It Or Not' is now up at Vidnet It looks like a tight vid and has already been getting a lot of Californian airplay. Go to the new video section there if you wanna see it. All they gotta do now is drop his album!

NO LONGER THE CHRONIC

Dre looks set to sue the Row over the Chronic 2000 title. He claims he's idea was stolen before he could use it, and now wants all C2g distribution and promotion stopped. To me it looks like he's acted kinda late and is thinking more about the money he can get outta this than anything else. Ain't no Row fans gon' buy Dre's shit if he goes through with this, so in a way he's acted real dumb and shot himself in both feet! Word has it he may now be changing the name of his album back to 'Chronic 2: In Bud We Trust' ready for a late August release. The way I see it, the original Chronic was a combination of both Dre and Death Row. Not just Dre! Both should be free to use a follow up title. DR could be in serious trouble financially which may mean no more albums! The Row can't take this right now, so lets hope Dre backs off before any real damage is caused.

I've been told that 2Pac will be featured on comedy central today at 6:00 PM EST. If anybody knows anything about this, or gets to see it let me know, thanx!

My homie MJ reports that the 2Pac/Outlawz album 'War Wounds' has already been delayed and now may not even come out at all. As usual it looks down to $$$ problems, which will be made even worse if Dre gets his way. I just hope this doesn't happen!

There's been a lot of talk lately of Daz leaving the Row for a second time. I don't know how true this is yet, but in a way I hope it is. At least then he might get another album out in the next year or so.

There's a few new sites around just now which include G Paradise the Unofficial Death Row page and the Black Jesus Desciples site. Check 'em out!

DR GOT IT GOIN' ON

In case you haven't heard already, Death Row are planning to release a 2Pac/Outlawz album entitled 'War Wounds' which should contain a mixture of released and previously unreleased material. The August 17th release date has been confirmed via an Interscope news letter so if all goes to plan we got less than a month to wait!

The official Death Row site is still under construction right now but should be ready by August... keep it locked!

Watch out fo' Dre & Snoop to rip shit up once again, in September! Their planning a reunion concert together in Hawaii which will promote both of their new albums and set the path fo' future work together. I can't wait!

I've re-opened the sites Chat Room fo' a trail period to see if it gets used. Let me know if u want it kept open. Remember its free to use and you don't need a membership!

Here we go wit' some audio from one of DR's newest artists Mac Shawn. Check out these 2 released originals, Check Yo Money featuring Daz, and We Bring Tha Funk featuring Celly Cell. I like both these but the remixs on Macs album are slightly better.

The new and improved Snoop's Dogghouse has come up big with a taste of Kurupt's upcoming album, 'Trilogy' with 'Represent That D.P.' by Kurupt, Snoop Dogg, Daz, Soopafly, Tray Dee and Jayo Felony. This track is definitely tight. Check it out!

DR seem to have dropped freshly signed 'Miilkbone' from their roster after putting out just one song! Ghetto Biz and Where'z Da Party At? are two of the better tracks from his pre-Death Row album 'Da Miilk Krate'. Maybe if he stayed he coulda made some dope shit with tha other artists!?
