Prince Quartz smiled to Eudial: "I'm so happy, Eudial. Now wait for me in our room, I'll do what I
promised and I'll send your mother to Earth. I'll reach you as soon as possible."
Two maids took her to a big bedroom and helped Eudial to undress. They gave her a nightgown, then
they went away.
Eudial sat on the bed. She was shocked from what had happened to her: now she was a married
woman and her husband wasn't Silver!
"What can I do now? I've never felt so powerless! Even if I rebel now, it will be useless. I'm alone
and, without my powers, I'm in the hands of Quartz...The only thing I can do is to wait until my
powers come back, even if this means that I've to be Quartz's wife...please, Silver, forgive me!"
Eudial lay down on the bed and began to weep.
Later, she heard that King Quartz was opening the door. He undressed and entered in the bed near
the witch.
"Are you sleeping, Eudial?"
Eudial didn't answered.
Quartz touched her: "Hey! You're trembling..."
He drew close to her and clasped her in his arms. Eudial sobbed.
Quartz caressed her cheek with the back of his hand: "Don't worry, honey, I won't touch you, if you
don't want to. I don't want to take your body with violence. I want you, your love...or at least your
affection, and I'll wait for it. Just let me hug you..."
Eudial turned towards him, her eyes widened: "Really? Aren't you lying?"
Quartz sadly smiled: "I never lie, Eudial. I kept my promise to send your mother on Earth and I won't
touch you if you don't want..."
Eudial sighed: "Are you expecting me to thank you?"
"No, I can understand you. Cry, if you want. Forgive me, if I make you suffer, but please, remember
that I love you. I can't understand why. Only, when I saw you in the Arena, I felt that you were good
for me. Eudial, I promise I'll try my best to be good for you too..."
Eudial burst up in tears: "Please, if you really love me, let me come back to Earth!"
"No, forgive me, but I can't do it. I don't want to lose you..." He hugged her faster.
Eudial touched his face and stared: "But...you're weeping!"
"Please, forgive me, Eudial...I've been so cruel with you... I want you to be happy, but I haven't
enough heart to let you go away from me..."
Eudial leaned her head on Quartz's chest, she hated herself for that, but she felt that she couldn't
loath Quartz anymore.
She felt sad for him, as she knew that she couldn't return his love.
They cried, each embracing the other, until they fell asleep.
The morning after, Eudial woke up in Quartz's arms.
The witch looked at the young man, who was still sleeping, and moved her hand to touch his head,
but she stopped: "What I'm doing? I should hate him and feeling sympathy for him..." she felt
remorse "Silver, forgive me if I can't hate the person who divided us..."
Quartz woke up. He seemed ashamed and averted his eyes from Eudial.
The witch touched his arm.
Quartz raised his head and looked at Eudial: she was sadly smiling at him.
"Eudial..."
"Quartz, I'm sorry, I can't love you...but I've forgiven you. I feel that you're not so bad, I hope we
can be friends..."
Quartz eyes filled up with tears: "Eudial, thank you! You're too kind with me, I don't deserve
it..."
He got up and began to dress in silence.
After a few he spoke again: "Eudial, I've to go to the Arena to talk with people of Tau Ceti. Are you
going to come with me?"
"The Arena...I hate that place, you know!"
"Please, come with me. It will be the last time you will enter there. I promise you that I never ask you
to come there again. I've only to tell something to the people, you won't see fights..."
"O.K. I don't like it, but I'll come with you."
"Thank you, honey!" Quartz smiled at her.
Eudial looked at the people who was crowding the Arena and shivered. She remembered how they
yelled and insulted her, only few days before. She grabbed King Quartz's arm. The man smiled at the
witch to encourage her, then he rose his hand to ask for silence.
"Listen to my words, people of Tau Ceti! My first decision as King of this planet is to prohibit fights
in this Arena! This place of blood and violence will be closed and I won't allow anyone to organize
fights to have fun!"
Eudial looked at him in surprise. The crowd began to rumble in disapproval.
King Quartz spoke again: "Remember that I will be terrible with person who break these rules! Now,
good-bye, people of Tau Ceti!"
He put an arm around Eudial's shoulders and teleported back to the Royal Palace.
He looked at the witch: "Did you like my little surprise?"
Eudial threw her arms around his neck and kissed him on the cheek: "Oh, thank you Quartz! You was
great! Now no one will die again in that horrible place!"
Quartz looked at her with an amused look: "People didn't like it very much, do they?"
Eudial laughed: "I think they didn't like it at all! You won't be a very loved sovereign..."
"Who cares? They are more like beasts than persons. I only care of the love of my Queen..."
The witch blushed and looked embarrassed: "Quartz...I'm sorry, but..."
Quartz smiled at her: "I know, you can't love me because you're in love with another man...I'll be
satisfied if I can have your affection, then...You'll see Eudial, together we can change this
planet."
"It's unbelievable!" A man in his fifties, slammed his hand on a table "Quartz must have gone mad to
close the Arena!"
Sarcolite and Dioptasio looked at him in fear.
"Father, calm down..." said Dioptasio "They've the power, we can't do anything to stop them..."
"Keep silent, you silly!" shouted the man "I can't stand the fact that Eudial, the result of a wrong
experiment, could become the queen of this planet! If you two had succeeded in killing her before,
Quartz would be still in our hands!"
The two men kneeled in front of their father: "Please, forgive us..."
"We must take over the realm! Royal family could have an accident..."
Sarcolite and Dioptasio stared at him: "Are you thinking of plotting against King Quartz?!"
"But, father, it won't be easy...Eudial don't trust us...It won't be easy for us to enter into the Royal
Palace and kill her and Quartz..."
Their father looked at them with disgust. Mordenite was probably one of the most cruel persons of
the whole Tau Ceti. He was tall and had very dark hair with a white streak on it. Half of his face was
covered with a horrible scar which gave him a terrifying appearance.
"Who talked to kill them? They are already committing suicide by trying to change this planet. We
only have to feed people's rage and to be ready to took the power when people will rebel..."
Meanwhile on Earth, Usagi and the other girls were still trying to find a way to reach Tau Ceti.
Silver looked very depressed: "It's all useless girls...They could have already killed her. No one can
survive to the Arena, we have no hopes to see her again..."
Usagi grabbed his shoulders and shook him: "You shouldn't say such things! She's still alive! Don't
you see Eu-chan? I called even the outer senshi... We'll save Eudial, I promise it to you,
Silver..."
Silver bowed his head: "It's even more terrible, Usagi. We can see Eu-chan, now. But all we can do
is to wait until she disappears!"
He sighed. All the girls were touched.
Haruka and Michiru entered the room.
"So the witch is in danger..." Haruka said "how can we help you?"
Usagi sobbed: "Please girls, help us to find a way to reach Tau Ceti..."
Michiru looked worried: "Actually, there is a way to do it, but it's very dangerous..."
Usagi grabbed her hand: "Please tell it to me! I don't care if it's dangerous, we must save
Eudial!"
"Well, if we use all our powers together, we can send a person on Tau Ceti. But we won't be able to
take her back to Earth..."
"Please, girls, let's do it!" said Usagi "I'll go there. I know that I'm not a good fighter and a crybaby,
but I really want to help Eudial!"
"No, Usagi, I'll go on Tau Ceti" Silver said "I'm Eudial boyfriend and I've to go."
Michiru looked at him: "I'm sorry, but if you girls are really ready to do that, it's better Usagi to go.
She's lighter than you."
"Usagi" Haruka asked "Are you really sure you want to go? You can't come back, once you are on
Tau Ceti..."
"Yes, I'll go. I'm sure that we can find a way to come back. We could steal a spaceship or something
similar. And if we won't succeed in that, at least Eudial won't be alone."
"O.K. Let's begin, then."
All the girls transformed then they, the witches, Tuxedo Kamen, Rodoc and Silver formed a
circle.
Usagi was in the middle of it.
Everyone used his power and Usagi slowly disappeared.
The girls sat to the ground very tired.
In that moment Emily entered into the garden: "Excuse me, are you Eudial's friends?"
Emmy stared at her, then she threw herself in her arms: "Mum!"
