This episode started out with the Salingers trying to figure out how they would pay for Griffin's operation. They decided that they would separate the bill amongst themselves. When Daphné goes to visit Griffin he asks her to tell him what is going on since no one will tell him. She finally admits to him that the Salingers are all paying for his hospital bill. Griffin decides to leave the hospital so that they can save some money. When Julia learns about this, she is mad and she tells Griffin that he has to go back to the hospital. He won't go beacause he says he has to repay the family for the operation. She tells them he doesn't owe them anything because he is part of the familly, and if he didn't want them to help him, he shouldn't have helped her family all the times he did. At the end he finally accepts their help, but still wants to pay them back.

Charlie and Kirsten decide to buy illegal hormone drugs for Kirsten because they don't have enough money for the legal ones. When they go to buy the drugs, they discover, a little bit too late that the drugs are a year over their expirery date. When they try to go back the guy is gone. They go back to their car to find that it has been taken away beacause they have too many outstanding tickets. They have to call Bailey for help and tell him about their baby plans.

Bailey and Holly go out on another date, where Bailey brings her to the 49ers stadium for a picnic. They get all wet when the sprinklers are turned on. When they go to get dry, Holly takes her shirt off and they make love. Back at her appartement, she comes face to face with the other guys she was dating and tells him that it's over between them. The guy asks if it is serious with the other guy, and if she's falling in love with him. Holly says she doesn't know. Bailey is kinda scared having overheard this. He is worried about getting into a serious relationship so soon, and he thinks it would be with him and Holly because everything is just too perfect between them.

Claudia wants to play violin again and goes to see Ross for lessons. She gets easily frustrated at her inability to play pieces that she'd played perfectly before. She tells Ross that she has signed up for a hard competition. She ends up leaving the competition when she realises that she will never be as good as she was before.
