Niramit or Tricks is set in a fictitious
land, a snow-peaked mountainous country supposedly bordering the
north of Thailand whose ruler has two sons. The heir is the king's
favourite but the younger son (Bird) has the real power - he can
bring to life whatever he draws. Then the heir dies. A few years
later an uprising forces the royal family to flee the country,
and the reluctant new heir finds himself expected to lead a
comeback. He draws a mirror image of himself. The clone is the
fearless fighter everyone wants him to be, and in the meantime
carries on with his studies at Chiang Mai University. The plot
becomes even more complicated when the young prince decides he
has to create another nicer being to balance the mean clone. He
draws a prince who inherits the throne while he continues to live
the life of an artist. Finally the general and the prince die,
leaving the artist and the journalist (Pop Areeya Chumsai) to be
together.
