Kale was nervous because the Ronins had joined the Dynasty and the Mortal Realm had accepted Talpa as emperor and there was no telling what would happen if someone noticed them. He couldn't believe that this was happening to him anyways. Who would have thought that the future of the Mortal World rested on the former Dark Warlords' shoulders.
"Kale! Earth to Kale! Come in Kale!" Dais yells. Kale quickly shakes himself out of the zone he was in.
"What?" He asks sheepishly.
"Well, if you had been listening instead of being who knows where then you would have heard me. I'll repeat myself again. how did Sage act when he confronted you and what did he say?" Dais asks.
"He acted very much like a warlord and he said that Talpa had beaten them and then let them side with him," Kale replies.
Sekhmet wasn't taking the news very well. he couldn't believe that they, of all people, were the only ones standing in Talpa's way.
"Sekhmet, Anubis, are you two going to say any thing?" Kayura asks.
"I..I don't know what to do," Anubis moans.
"Anubis, man don't lose it," Kale says.
"How can we win? If Talpa beat the Ronins then we don't stand a chance," Anubis moans again.
"Anubis snap out of it, man. We have to win. Failure is not an option and neither is giving up," Kale says sharply. Anubis tries to pull himself together.
"I want you to know that this puts me in an uncomfortable situation," Sekhmet says.
"I know, Sekhmet, it puts all in an uncomfortable situation. I think that the only way for us to get any further is if we work as a team, understand," Kayura asks. They all nod, understanding what a dangerous position they held.
Suddenly the sky turns black and two lightning bolts hit the ground in front of them.
"Long time, traitors," Cye sneers. Dais is frightened at the facial expression Cye was using. He had never seen a look so evil on Cye's face.
"Dais, you're turning as white as your hair. Is there something wrong," Kento laughs. Kayura looks at Anubis and nods.
"To arms!" He commands. They call forth their armor and attack the Ronins... |
