Jet Li and Chin Sui Hao playes two Shaolin students in this film.
They have grown up as friends inside the walls of the temple.
They are both outstanding fighters but they get into trouble in the temple because of Chins temper.
And they get expelled from Shaolin. After a while they start drifting into differnet directions.
Chin is tempted by power and starts working for the local governor (a tyrann), while Jet joins the rebellion.
Chin and Jet are soon deadly enemys as Chin reveals a cruel side of himself and lures Jets friends into an ambush.
Jet must develop a new style if he is to stop Chin.
The Tai Chi style.
This film, although a kind of slow middle
section, has one of the best endings I have ever seen on the screen.
Is has some great choreographed scenes and show Jet Li
at his best.
