This film opened in 1962 with Sean Connrey with the lead role as James Bond 007. Aside from a few minor changes in the openings over the years the pretitle sequences have changed very little. They all open with the famous gun barrel. Taken in the context that this was the first major film appearence of James Bond this film was extremly good and has spun seventeen sequals.
