
Allosaurus was much like Megalosaurus but was even larger. It also had more teeth in its front upper jaw, and an extra pair of openings in the sides of its skull. There were two bony bumps above and just ahead of the eyes, two smaller bumps behind them, and a low, narrow, bony ridge that ran from eyes to snout.
Length: 36 ft. Although there has been one that is supposed to have measured 41 ft. and 16 ft. high.
Weight: 1-2 US tons.
Time: Late Jurassic.
Where: North America, Africa, Australia, and Asia.
