(Jason and Sam meet Robing in the hospital room, where he finally agreed to undergo Robin's experimental treatment for his memory loss and seizures)
Robin: "I was so relieved when you called and said you were coming. I was scared that you wouldn't. Thank you for agreeing to do this. Okay. First up, the treatment is experimental, so I need you to sign this release form." (Hands Jason a clipboard to sign. Jason stares at bed)
Jason: "What should I expect?"
Robin: "First, I'll start you on an I.V. drip. You'll become sleepy, a little disoriented. But that just means that the medicine is working."
Jason: (pointing to bed) "I don't want restraints, I--"
Robin: "Jason, I'm sorry. That's not an option. We have to use them for your own protection. Okay, I'll be right back." (Robin leaves room and Jason hesitantly signs the release)
Sam: "I know that you must hate this." (Jason sighs) "And I want you to know if I could do it for you, I would in second."
Jason: (nervously) "I know."
Sam: "Just remember. When this procedure or whatever is over, and your seizures and your headaches. They go away, and you get well again. We can focus on our future together."
Jason: "Yeah. There's something I need to ask you before…before all this happens." (Takes Sam by the hands) "Will you marry me?"
Sam: "I know you don't remember. But, I already agreed to marry you."
Jason: "I just…I just need to hear you say it…again. You know, so I can carry it with me into…whatever happens." (Staring at bed, takes a deep breath) "I wanna, spend my life with you. Whatever that turns out to be. And I can't make any promises that I should. I don't know if we're gonna be able to have kids. Or how many years we're gonna have to spend together. But, I do know…I will love you for as long as I live."
Sam: (starts to cry) "All my life, I have been chasing for something that was so out of reach. And then I found you. It was you. Yes. Yes will marry you!"
Jason: (pulls a ring box from his jacket) "I uh…bought it for you. You were in Manhattan. I was gonna give it to you when you got back to tell you that I was gonna have the treatments."
Sam: "You had my engagement ring with you in that tunnel?"
Jason: "Yeah. When I woke up after the explosion. It was dark, quiet. And I knew I was trapped. I was just lying there for a minute trying to figure out to do. But then…I felt this ring box. And I remembered I had to give it to you."
Sam: "No one would understand. But you are the most romantic man I have ever met in my entire life."
Jason: (opens the box) "Is that okay?"
Sam: "Yeah. It's beautiful. It's exactly what I would've picked. I promise to love you. For richer, for poorer. In sickness, and in health. For as long as we live."
Jason: (puts ring on Sam's finger) "For richer, for poor. In sickness…" (stares at bed) "And in health. With all that I am, and all that I have. I love you." (They kiss)
