BLOODY MOON
(1981, Italy)
DIRECTED BY: Jess Franco.
Franco has made hundreds of films and surprisingly this is the only one I have ever seen by him. His most accomplished horror tale was Faceless to my knowledge. This film does not make me want to go out and pick up any more of his stuff.
It's a slasher tale about an inheritance and the greedy bastards who kill to get it. Throughout most of the film it seems a burned maniac (who looks like he has a piece of hardened shit glued to the side of his face) is the killer.
A handful of murders including a knife through the breast and decapitation by buzz-saw (which looks ultra fake by the way) along with a very unconvincing scissor stabbing are all that can be found. For Franco aficionado's only.
