Excursion into the late 70's porno biz has Mark Whalberg joining famous adult film picture maker Burt Reynolds and his bizarre crew. Whalberg changes his name from Eddie to Dirk Diggler and becomes an overnight adult film star. His success is short lived and he then wallows in a life of drugs and other demeaning things.

I had a hard time taking some of the things in this film seriously like Whalberg trying to crack into the music business and the crazy shoot-out at druggie Alfred Molina's house. I'm sure all will want to know that Whalberg's penis which is shown only at the end of the film was prosthetically altered.

Not a bad film, some violence, nudity and an extra dose of sleaze make an interesting movie.
