Basket Case and Frankenhooker director Frank Henenlotter returns with another gory comedy that comments on drug addiction. In it Rick Herbst literally gets hooked up with a wise cracking wormlike parasite named Aylmer which escaped from its previous owners.

Soon Alymer is injecting his blissful juices into Brian's (Herbst) brain. The film doesn't have much in the plot department but plenty of grue. The goriest scenes being when Herbst pulls his brain out through his ear in a dream and the hooker/blow-job bit when the hooker meets Aylmer behind the zipper instead of Brians pecker.

The hooker killing being shown and complete brain pull are in the uncut prints only mind you. If you want to see it and can only get the r-rated print everything is in tact except for those two gore scenes I mentioned, film is not cut noticeably. Then again there are so many prints available (89, 90, 84, and 94 min versions). Strange, bizarre film but appealing nonetheless.
