END OF A DYNASTY

My ol' buddy Mike Martinez is at it again making films but this time its a short mockumentary on the deaths of The Kennedy's. The film is recorded in a professional fashion with detailed credits and even a ripped off beginning from Mike's Italian filmmaking idol Enzo G. Castellari's 1990: The Bronx Warriors. End Of A Dynasty is fun to watch and all but with having friends act for him who can't hold a straight face while saying their lines Mike won't be able to step up to that next level. The film is obviously just something for amusement and fun because of the fashion it is presented in. Martinez has the potential to really do something if he had the budget and actors, End Of A Dynasty is pure cheese so it should be enjoyed that way.

It has four chapters in total beginning with the death of Robert Kennedy and then going onto David, Michael and John. Three noteworthy scenes were the cutting up of a banana peel and all during the first chapter (!?!?!), Michael Kennedy's ski death enactment that was done in an incredibly funny and lame fashion (I never knew guys beat Michael to death with tree branches, I thought he just skied into a tree, hehehehe)and the Kennedy car cavalcade was also quite funny not to mention a scene where the guy playing David Kennedy forgets to roll up his sleeve before injecting himself with heroin. One nice effect that stood out was John F. Kennedy's head wound with the blood flowing out, reminded me of the water and red food coloring blood used by the gallons in Violent Shit.
